I have lived here for a year. Pretty good overall. A little pricy, but it is way better than paying for a house if you are single. The laundry room needs work, but the showers and rec room are top notch. I would definitely stay here again.
I have lived here for one year going on three. It is well worth the price of 675 monthly. And everything is included, trash disposals, electric, water and limited capacity wi-fi. If you sign anywhere to live in the housing within the loop on post, you forfeit your entire base housing allowance. At the camp, you get to keep the rest after monthly rent. If you're even considering RV life, just do it. You won't regret it. If these are your priorities: Pay off loans, get out of debt, live small... Then this is a great option 🌵
Great place to live on post. Lots of wildlife (for good or bad) right outside your door. Close to trails (Blackie, Snack Man, Millennium). Amenities are good, they have issues sometimes but they are constantly trying to improve things. The biggest issue right now is the wind. During the winter/spring months it can gust above 50 mph regularly, and some rigs can be moved and/or damaged.
The price is much too high for what you get. The RV Park Manager (Johnny Jiminez) is difficult to work with. Hardly any of the advertised amenities are ever open for patrons to use. There is no WiFi, so plan on having your own internet source…. Pay your rent on time or they charge you a $10 a day fee (without any notice). But the neighbors are all awesome!! We’ve made so many life long friends from this park (which is the only reason it got two stars). It’s right next to the 11th Cav Det. Horse Regiment, and the Irwin Horse Club (civilian boarding). Also not far from the ranges, Mt. Blackie, and storage facilities.
Great place to spend the night. Full hookups with 30 and 50 amp available at each site. Sunsets are amazing up here. You must have a military ID to get to this RV spot. Very remote location with great views. Check in is at out door recreation desk. Everyone was very helpful. Great place to stay when visiting the base. Lots of history here.
