Campground

We were greeted by very friendly host. All the sites looked level and very nice. Shower house and restrooms weee very nice and clean. The campground is in a great location if you want to do the wine trail.

Great campground for long or short stays. Easy on easy off access from highway. There was highway construction, but the detour was easy to get around. 11/18/25 Very well-maintained park. all RV hook ups were well maintained voltages and phases on electric were- perfect for RVs. Staff super helpful and friendly. Not far from highway but hardly noticeable for noise. Campgrounds are very quiet. Close to small town for food.

Would recommend for monthly stays or weekend camps with the family. Husband and I with our dog stayed for 5 weeks while working on the road. Hilltop had everything we needed. It was clean and maintained and tucked away in the trees for a calm and peaceful location. On one Saturday they had a local singer come play under the pavilion which was fun. Owner and host are very friendly and welcoming. This campground had one of the best bathrooms for me. It may be a simple masonry building but that makes it easy to keep clean and the water pressure and temperature were so perfect. I dream of good showers because they are so hard to come by at most RV parks. The best part is the nature that is all around the area. There is a gorgeous waterfall feature 2 mins down the road, the tunnel hill trail for biking/running/walking 15 mins down the road and the Shawnee wine trail 10-30 mins depending. We were able to find great local dairy and milk at the surrounding farms. Photos are mostly of activities in the area.

Clean Park We stayed here because Ferne Clyff State park did not have water hook up. This is a great location close to the state park. This park was clean and had beautiful trees.. I especially liked listening to the pretty bird sounds in the morning. I took off a star because of the noise from the cement plant and highway noise. I would definitely stay here again for a few days. We went to Lake of Egypt, Marina, and had some cocktails and food. We also went to Ferne Clyff and did some hiking.

Staff, staff, staff! Had an amazing easter weekend with Hilltop. A great easter egg hunt for kids and the facilities were perfect. Bathrooms were some of the cleanest I've seen. 1 mile away from a waterfall pond! Thanks Hilltop!
