This RV park is in a great location just on the west side of Rapid City just off I90. They have paved roads right to the RV Office. We were a last minute arrival and the staff was very professional and accommodating. Very clean park and lots of room for the pets to roam and play in the dog park. We met Frank (grounds guy) who was also friendly and helpful. It appears the park is in the midst of an expansion with more facilities to come in the future. We will be returning in the summer to spend some time in the hills. Sun rises/sets are top notch.
Our second stay here. Great park. Well designed. Easy pull in to our pull through site. Lots of space in our site, a great view of the hill and a great dog park just down the way. They have made improvements since the last time we stayed and they have signs up for more improvements to come! We will definitely stay here again next season.
We enjoyed our nearly 5 month stay at Blackhawk Creek RV Park. Its rural setting, away from the freeway made it very quiet, daytime or night. Our site (#47) was back-in with view of grass and trees behind, and plenty large for our 35 ft fifthwheel plus parking our two vehicles. The staff and owner have always been very friendly and attentive to any needs or questions. Receiving mail and packages while there was very easy. The owner and crew at Blackhawk Creek RV Park are constantly making visible park improvements with clear plans for many more to come. We would recommend it to anyone desiring either long term or short term in the area to check out Blackhawk Creek RV Park
PORS: The grounds were well kept, clean bathroom/shower, and ALL the staff we encountered were very friendly! They also have great plans in store to add on to the grounds with more activities, etc. CONS: We were staying in a tent and they clearly don't cater to that, they are more of an RV place but we were traveling with friends who have campers. For tents, they only have a small grass area with a picnic table but it's right next to a shipping container turned in to a work shop. It was a bit awkward the next morning when the workers showed up. We paid for 2 nights but decided to leave after the first night due to that. Overall: Great for RVs, not for tents.
We stayed in site 111 in the newer section of the park. Site level with all utilities working and in pristine shape. Management was very friendly with great attention to detail. They clearly have a plan for investment into the park and capital expansion. Easy access to all attractions. Nice neighbors and very quiet at night. Will definitely be back and look forward to seeing what is new next year.
