Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park

I wanted to rate higher but each year, sadly, everything deteriorates. It appears you have to book a room now using all the various online middleman apps to get a room. The room I have for two days is clean as can be expected in a very dated 1970’s kind of way. No smells. No refrigerator, ice machine broke. Water faucet leaks, low water pressure but hot, but the water is not clear; it has milky cream color that is not healthy in my opinion. Wall sockets extremely loose and not safe. Heat is okay, AC non existent, had better cooling with doors open. TV as expected, useless cheap programming that no one watches. Balcony has a view of lake and dam but is filthy, cigarette ash tray and ashes, insect nests everywhere. Plenty of good parking, hardly anyone here. Restaurant as usual-closed with chaotic hours that’s ever changing and no one can keep up with. No laundry. Unsafe WiFi network. 3 inch gap under entry door. Both air and light shines in. Large enough for all bugs, mice and or snakes, given the landscaping here. Gift shop open. Military or Senior discounts available if you ask. Staff are exceptionally friendly. Quiet evening with sound sleep. Bring your own pillows for comfort. Not my first choice any longer but after many years staying here and at the equally deteriorated campground, I’ll be back, to visit Patti’s Settlement.

We only stayed one night but want to come back. Staff great, room great, view beautiful. Everything was positive about our experience. Very dog friendly! Highly recommend!

I have been going to Ky Dam village State Park for over 40 years always had a good experience we went This past Jan3-5 stayed in a cabin had a small mishap that the front desk took attention to refund my stay ...left reveiw on Expedia they wouldn't let me change or drop my review on there site so I'm here to rectify that review the front desk going to be more helpful and they did refund my money for the stay as I've already said I have always found the staff most helpful and the grounds is beautiful I will gladly be back again sooner than later highly recommend this for a vacation stay

The tub drain was missing its stopper, and there was no way to fix it. I wouldn't complain, but one of the kids only takes baths, so... yeah. Other than that, other issues were swiftly taken care of, and the staff followed up to make sure issues were fully resolved. We'll also be returning in summer 2026!

Great place to stay and relax. View of lake is beautiful. Very peaceful and quiet, and the grounds are well maintained. Resort offers Breakfast Lunch and Dinner. Pool was drained on our visit. Lodge rooms are well maintained, but have no refrigerator or microwave. Probably because the power coming out of the outlets can't handle the wattage. I say this because charging cell phones take for ever and using phone while being charged decreases power on phone.
