I have camped here a few times, and I have always had a great time. Well organized and taking care of. They have people coming almost every day during the summer to keep maintaining it.

We stayed for one night in mid-September, 2025. We liked all the green grass and trees around the park. There were many sites to choose from that time of year, we chose #18. It was near the restroom & shower building. We had electric and a paved pad that was almost perfectly level, a picnic table and fire pit. We sat outside enjoying happy hour when we arrived, but the bugs were pretty bothersome so we headed into our trailer. The campground was very quiet at night, which was lovely. We filled our water tank when we left, but there is no dump station on site, and we didn’t see directions to one that reviewers said was a couple miles away. The cost was $30 to camp plus a $14 daily park entry fee for out of staters. Seems pretty pricey for no dump station on site.

We happened to hit some really bad weather. 85 mph straight line winds the first night we were there, dropped trees on both sides of our camper and on our truck, and the roads in and out were closed as well. The area lost power, so the following day was sweltering with heat and humidity and no AC. It rained again that night. They locked the bathrooms and showers, which I understand, no power = no water. My issue was the power came back on around 10 PM, but the restrooms still weren't opened the following day. There is very slow filling water inside the campground, but to get faster water or to dump, you have to drive a couple miles down the road. Not real convenient. My biggest disappointment was the showers. Yes, they have showers, but they are pay showers. Nowhere did it mention that fact, which would have been helpful to know.

This served as a stopping point on a family trip to the southwest. Tent sites are pretty exposed with little available shade. There are restrooms and drinking water available, however. A neighboring camper rolled up with an inflatable projector screen to watch a movie nearly to midnight. The campground host was nowhere to be found in enforcing quiet hours. We had an otherwise enjoyable stay.

Great beautiful clean campground. Be aware of water and dump - it is not in every lot . Such a beautiful place though !
