The campground is older but well kept. It is next door to the Pioneer Village therefore no car is need to visit the village. I will stay there again even if I don't visit the Pioneer Village.

What a great place to stay. Off the beaten path. Wonderful camp host. Thank you Mary! The best part was visiting Pioneer Village. The amount of history in those buildings is astounding. What a hidden gem! I wish all children could tour here and learn about American history! This is a place to revisit. No way to see it all in one day! Can’t wait to come back!

We are so glad that we stopped at this campground and Museum that we had heard about. The campground is nice and roomy with beautiful shade trees. Mary was super friendly and very accommodating. We have a 35" fifth wheel and have plenty of room with ample space between sites. The museum is AMAZING!! You really need a minimum of 2 days to see it all. I wished that we would have booked a week. We will most definitely come back and spend more time.

The campground is ok. It’s a no frills small campground with hookups, but don’t come here to camp, come here thankful that you can camp overnight while you tour the Pioneer Village! The museum is one of the most shockingly AMAZING places my family has ever been. I think my husband thought I was pushing the educational part of our cross country family RV trip a little too hard when I made him drive “ off the beaten path” to this campground. Upon entering the museum, and laying eyes on the first of many rooms and buildings filled with amazing historic artifacts, vehicles, including actual airplanes, and beyond, my husband literally shouted out loud “ How do people not know about this place!!”. It absolutely has to be the best collection of American history in the USA! My husband isn’t a museum person, usually, but we only regret that we didn’t plan ahead for enough time to see everything in the Pioneer Museum. It really should be a 2 day visit and I had only scheduled enough time for one day. I had no idea how vast and incredible it would be. My husband didn’t sleep well the night after visiting the museum. He said he couldn’t turn his mind off - he just kept thinking about all the absolutely amazing items that are collected in this humongous museum! The kids were every bit as mesmerized as my husband and me! Every person will Find items of interest here! Collections include cars, motorcycles, bikes, farming equipment, Oregon trail wagons and supplies, actual pony express stations, musical instruments, kitchen appliances, collectibles, all the way to pens, pencils and eraser collections.

We had heard of Pioneer Village from a friend and decided to visit. After reading all the reviews and some were - . We decided to pull our camper the 7 hrs and give it a shot. We made reservations for 2 nights and got our spot at the campground. The buildings are dated and could use some maintenance. We did arrive before the summer season began so the grass does need to be cut. We did not use the restroom or showers as we have our own. In all fairness cannot offer an opinion. We did go through the museum and were quite impressed with all that we saw. There are so many buildings and I know we didn’t make it through them all. The museum is well organized as far as our history and subject. Most items are behind plexiglas or glass cabinets but some you can touch, sit on. To preserve American history we would be happy to support their effort. Highly recommend a visit. We had no experience with the motel so can’t rate it either. We did wish there were a fire ring or fire pit at the campsites but none existed.
