Recepionist is rude and made racist comments about what happens in South Africa to our friends. Facilities old but being upgraded and clean. No hot water to shower in the main amenity block. By self admission it's not a tourist park. When I asked if it was dry when I phoned ahead as it was raining torrentialy l was told yes, we have grass and concrete slabs. The receptionist just passes a park map to you, no directions by her. We couldn't find our site re no numbers, no slab. Then she tells me NO slab on ours. We could't put an awning out re site size and had to park our vehicle on another site. We wouldn't go again unless desperate like this time
Not a place to put up a tent, that's for sure. All the sites are caravan sites with cement slabs, and not one tree or piece of shade in the entire park. The amenities looked like they were built in the 70s and not updated since then. And it wasn't within walking distance of any shops. And they were dismantling a couple of sites, and had bulldozers parked on them. I have no idea how they managed to get them in, as the roads are quite narrow. I wouldn't want to be trying to get a caravan on one of those sites as there's not a lot of space between them. Maybe the cabins are better.
Compare to a few year's ago this has improved out of sight. Very peaceful quite and clean the toilet shower block are cleaned daily . The park is kept clean and I'm just excited to be there. Recommend to all.
We used this caravan park twice in once. The first and the last time. Sorry I have asked for the map and I got the email with it the morning after. We had really difficulty to find the spot in the dark. The laundry is more trash then anything. The bathroom and toilets are dirty, very old and with signs that you will not get soap and paper towels if they empty. Sorry to say but this place really needs a big make over.
Basic, clean comfortable and tidy, very friendly welcoming and I arrived quite late in the evening and the lady didn’t mind at all. I had no problems at all staying here for a week while I looked around for something more permanent. Handy for fuel station and shops just up the road, great having a large freezer as well as the fridge and bed was comfortable plus my dog was welcomed and could come inside, had its own concrete slab for parking. Would definitely recommend
