We are so happy our friends recommended this KOA. It’s in a great location. We bike into town but a shuttle is available. They offer trash-pickups and propane refills. They have multiple comfort stations & a little doggie park. It’s a pleasant place to stay for a relaxing night by a campfire or a short trip into town.

Stayed in our 25ft RV 4 nights during New Years. Friendly and helpful staff, nice clean RV spot and the roads were kept de-iced. Easy walk up to the Safeway where it is free to hop on the bus into town. Bus runs ever 30 minutes. Wifi strong too! Really appreciate all the hard work especially right after the flooding.

So a few years ago the wife and I finally bought our first trailer together and decided we were going camping all summer. We were late to the season and we knew it was going to be tough to get spots. So we were grateful for everyone that worked with us or fit us in. Leavenworth (the town) is one of our favorite places to visit. Wife discovered they had a campground (we do not care if it KOA or not) so she booked us a spot for July 4th holiday. We were put in spot 84 (i think), right in the middle of the parking lot of the main building (so it seemed). Everyone racing around and down the hill on their bikes, boards and of course the vehicles. That was not even the worse of it. The worse thing there was a sewage leak between our site and site 85. Turns out the main sewer line runs with through our site. They pumped it out almost all day and by 9pm they said they fixed it. We went to sleep and woke up to sewage lake. We tried to make the best of it, we were gone for the day and they said they would get it fixed by the time we returned. We asked to move to one of the nice new spots that was open. We were told those are reserved for large motor homes. They assured us they would have it fixed and cleaned up by the time we returned from our daily outings. When we returned it was all cleaned up and covered in lye (I think it was white powder). We finished our evening and went to bed. Was woken up to a popping noise with a gush right out side our window. by 4am I had to pack up, hook up and pull out. The site was not usable. As I was pulling out the people in 85 were loading up to get out of there as well. Fast forward to the next year. Called in to make reservations and was directed to website. Was told to put in the notes that we did not want site 84 / 85. So we did that, sure enough as soon as we got there we were put in site 84, it is all they had left. The reservation was not clear and was not completed correctly. We told them about the issue of the previous year and once again was assured it was resolved and they have not had any issues with the sewer lines since last summer. Got to site 84 and it looked like they just cleaned up a spill and put fresh dirt and pine needles. We set up, ate dinner, watched a movie and went to bed. Woke up in the morning to sewer creek. Let the staff know but by the time they got there sewage lake was back. Needless to say they cleaned it up, we spent the date tubing and it was still leaking when we got back. told the wife, no way am I staying here again with raw sewage flooding under our trailer / campsite. We pulled out. On our way out we were told we could not dump our trailer at our site. We were instructed to pull into empty one on the new side and dump there. Which we did, only to be yelled at by staff telling us it is just going to run down into site 84 / 85. We have not been back to this campground, would like to give it another shot but I need to know how NOT to get site 84 / 85 / 86 / 87.

I lodged at a KOA campground in September, when children were back in school. The town was remarkably quiet, with tourist activity significantly decreased from the summer months. We opted to stay in a cabin at this KOA location, as we preferred to be somewhat removed from Leavenworth's commercial area. The cabin was immaculately clean, featuring a queen-size bed, a bunk bed suitable for younger children, a kitchen area equipped with a microwave, refrigerator, coffee machine, dishes, and a bathroom with a tub and shower. (The water pressure was excellent.) I consider this a superior alternative to hotel accommodations. The campground offers a pool and various outdoor activities, ensuring a comfortable stay. As the facility is pet-friendly, we were able to bring our dog. My wife and I were thoroughly impressed by the meticulous maintenance of the properties.
