Fremont RV Campground

Pool open but water slide closed. Should have been notified before we got here! The only reason we came here is because kids wanted to go on the water slide. Also another downer the jumping pillow also down and out of commission. The mini golf course is entirely overgrown in weeds. Pay this much for camping and don’t have the amenities. Last time we camped here 6-7 years ago they had activities for the kids every couple hours. This time they had one kid activity the entire weekend. It’s just really going down hill here needs some major work.

Expensive for what you get. The campground has many amenities available, however many are not open long enough to use them. For example, the pool is only open 11-7. We had no opportunity to use them with what we had planned for the weekend. On top of that..Apparently the slide has been closed to be fixed for the last 2 years? It does not seem well maintained either with potholes everywhere. And The bathrooms rarely had soap. One of the positives is that they gave us a golf cart for needing to move us because our original sites flooded.

We went there for Friday and Saturday my kids favorite thing camping are bounce pads. Seen the water slide in pictures and thought wouldn’t be more perfect. Showed up bounce pad looked like it had not been used in months with no air in it and dirt covering it. Ok fine sucks but we get it must have got a hole. Went by water slide completely shut down… also looked like it had not been used in years and girl at desk said it’s down until further notice. Paid 250 dollars for an extremely dirty pool as the only thing for the kids to do. Ended up packing up and leaving Saturday night. Making this post July 25. This place was amazing growing up as jellystone. Now it was totallly disappointing. Will not go back.

Staying here this weekend made me so sad…we have been camping here on and off for 30+ years. After not being here since 2021, we thought it would be great to come back, and it was absolutely terrible. The waterslide doesn’t work and hasn’t worked for about a year. The pool is only open 11-7 and is freezing. The bouncing pillow was out of order. The mini golf course was weedy and overgrown. The roads are full of pot holes and overall everything is unkept. We used to love coming here and experiencing all of the activities with our kids just like when we were kids ourselves, but it’s clear this is no longer a priority. The prices are crazy high for half of the amenities of other campgrounds. DO NOT CAMP HERE!

As a friend of an annual, we have been camping with them here for years and have enjoyed every summer prior. This season is the absolute worse. I went into the office to discuss my concerns with the Property Manager only to discover on the hottest weekend of the year with the pool and slide not in service she took off of work. Assuming so she didn't have to deal with the backlash from the pool being down. And it seemed that no manager was available. As I was driving my golf cart down by the lake, I noticed a manager golf cart was parked behind the maintenance building with what I assumed to be the manager on duty smoking. Which explained why there was not a manager available. So being that it was 99 degrees out I decided to take the kids to the store to get some ice cream, immediately upon entering I smelled cigarette smoke coming from an older employee in the store. When I asked her about the cigarette smell she introduced herself as the store supervisor and I immediately realized the cigarette smell was permeating from her, I decided that we were not going to get ice cream from there. The smell was a complete turn off. The location is great, this park use to be so beautiful, but something needs to be done because under current management the place has gone completely downhill.
