BIG4 Barney Beach

Great place to sit while having lunch. It is always kept clean and the people who I've seen while there seem to be enjoying the peaceful water view as much as me. Sure, like all beach areas inside the coral reef, at low tide you get a good view of what's normally under the water, and to some it isn't so pretty, but still more beautiful than sitting inside 4 walls. More covered seating would be a bonus. Often no seats available but sitting in your car looking straight out over the water is still nice. The park area is kept tidy and contains a fenced playground and toilets.

Gladstones worst beach offers coal contaminated sand mud views of the local refineries, with a short walk from the local methtropolis this destination now also features no dogs thanks to our lovely local council. Hooray! Fun activities include feeding the local seagulls so they have the extra energy to fly out to the marine turtle reserves for a feast of hatchlings.

Just visited briefly for lunch today. Have been plenty of time for bbq catch ups, always clean and maintained, quite often saw workers there completing their work, great to see! BBQ's great!

It is a lovely place to visit, Has BBQ'S to use plus shelter to enjoy the ocean view without getting sunburn, Puplic toilet & playground for the young at heart to enjoy 🏖️
