Sites are all double wide cement with extra cement where hoses are. Great Camoground layout with good amount space between sites. Suggest putting approx time on washer and dryers so new people know how long, this also help w people timely getting their laundry. More washers and dryers are needed . Good price for washer and dryer. Nice staff, two main people regularly seen were polite and helpful. One staff not there often he was not nice, rude when came prior to check out campground he didn’t want to answer questions. Not sure why a camp host, seen them twice not welcoming. Most experience with host they are out waving, talking to campers, at least a welcome vibe. It would be nice for privacy trees/bushes down the center of the inter loop. Pizza from office ok. This is not fault of campground but package delivery not reliable on expected date. Most packages moved from ups to post office and almost at least one day past delivery date and never got packages delivered on Sunday. Even though post office told me that’s all they deliver on Sunday for Amazon packages, again not fault of campground but possible improvement experience if campground speaks w post office on what is not working correctly. The dog area trash bun was not changed at least 4 weeks, gross. Also trash in laundry room dirty gross lid could be cleaned a bit more/ floor but overall fine. Overall nice establishment, we would return. Great location to Cookeville restaurants and shops.
Really had high hopes for this place. It is gorgeous and well situated. Camp hosts are lacking. Hope the owner reads this. 40 gallon dog waste silver trash can at the pet area was full when we arrived and was never emptied though the store clerk said several people reported it and the camp host was notified. It reeks. I guess it pairs with the camp host site which had copious dog deposits on its own. When we arrived the fire pit had been scooped out…. Into a pile right outside the fire ring. We are fall loving people and enjoy a nightly campfire. Needless to say the first night, we arrived late and worked around it. The next night was very dark out and I kept tripping over the ash pile while tending the fire. We requested the pile be moved to no avail. Ended up shoveling what we could back into the pit. I think I ruined a pair of tennis shoes dealing with an ash pile that should have never been left right next to a fire pit. (We’ve been camping for 20 years and have never had fire it debris left at the site outside the fire pit upon arrival) We will return, but will be prepared to fend for ourselves. A Camp Host shouldn’t get a discount if they can’t provide a basic clean experience. (There are only 23 sites. Not a big lift)
I don’t think there is anything better than the sound of waterfalls putting you to sleep. You can hear the falls from your campsite easily. This campground is clean and well-kept. The location could not be better; literally a few steps from the waterfalls and trailhead. Thankful we found this gem of a campground.
We absolutely love this campground near Burgess Falls! It’s peaceful, clean, and just a short walk to the most beautiful waterfalls. The sites are spacious and level with full hookups, and the surroundings are so quiet and relaxing. Perfect spot to unwind after exploring the falls—definitely one of our favorite getaways! Already booked again for springtime.
This place is a must stay if you want to hike burgess falls state park. The campground has wide lanes and large paved campsites and is very clean. It’s wonderfully quiet, with slight noise if the waterfalls at your campsite. It has a cute country store with a lot of essentials if you forgot something, plus great food options if you don’t feel like cooking. The staff was great, and we couldn’t have asked for a better stay, except maybe an extra night.
