Winter River Glampground, Formerly Cookville Campground

Beautiful campground in upstate Vermont. We stopped here for one night and had a great time. We came in with low expectations and were surprised and wowed by how nice this place was. This is a glamping-campground experience and so wholesome and healing. Comfy bed, but with a nice tent and limited cell service, wifi if you need it, out in the woods, camping, nice clean bathrooms-but in a nice camper or clean portable bathroom and a simple clean shower attached to the outside of the camper. This is a nice experience to step away from the hustle and bustle of life. Really appreciated the owners and the great care they put into this place. They are the nicest people in the world. We will be back. Thank you for the perfect stay.

Vacation for 2 for 5 nights first of October. Stayed in “Miss Shannon” with a queen bed,2 end tables, desk and 2 moon chairs and lots of blankets. We were even offered a heater in case we were cold, we did use the heater and were plenty warm. This is the most relaxing Glampground with a full kitchen outside set up. They have all you need. Wonderful people and will def come back! Don’t hesitate, book now, you will be glad you did!

The first time we went to this place was last year near fall and was a great experience, we spent really good time so we came back again this year to celebrate my birthday. Me and my friends reserved all the glampground and was AMAZING. The owners are really nice and they have a beautiful place, they have everything you need. Definitely my favorite place to stay in VT. Can’t wait to come back again for 3rd time.

This is such a gem of a location! Nestled in the woods, this glampground is wonderfully designed and thoughtfully laid out. We were greeted by Janai who helpfully showed us around. The grounds are very well maintained and the solar lights add a warm ambiance at night. We felt both right at home and miles away from the buzz of it all. The site we stayed at included a wonderfully comfortable bed and had ample room for two. We hope to visit again soon and catch a glimpse of the foliage while we’re at it!

Janai and Dean are the best! Amazingly generous with their hospitality, and their land is delightful. We loved our one night stay, and can’t wait to see how their business evolves and thrives. They are the real deal. Highly recommend.
