wife and I went for a lovely staycation out at Elkridge resort we had a absolutely wonderful time. The outdoor activities were great. We skated around the pond we tracked on the trails. We enjoyed the indoor swimming pool and hot tub. The staff were superb, extremely friendly and helpful and the cocktails and food at Fredericks were wonderful. I would recommend Elkridge.

We make a trip to Elk Ridge every winter. The facilities were mostly great as always. A couple challenges we faced this year were the availability of the restaurant. With the Wyld under renovation it was challenging to get a reservation at Fredericks. The second and more alarming issue was the state of the cookware in the unit we stayed in. The non-stick pots and pans were all degraded to the point where the coating was flaking off. They weren’t merely scratched from improper use, the coatings were flaking off. These materials are incredibly dangerous forever compounds that are carcinogenic. We were not able to cook using the pots and pans provided. Will have to resort to bringing cookware in the future if we decide to continue to return to the resort for a winter get away.

Booked 3 nights, huge snow storm rolled in (59cm snow reported in Prince Albert National Park), and with all the bad roads, and thanks to some resulting cancellations, they worked hard to get us a 4th night, and keep us in our same cabin. THANK YOU! It was a huge dump of snow that made for fun snowmobiling, but the snow removal is slower than I expected, as I’m thinking they just have to rely on their in-house staff. Don’t get me wrong, it was a huge amount of work, but for a big place like this I thought they’d have more bobcat operators etc. The staff did what they could with what they had. Workers were at our cabin every day shovelling off the decks and entrance. Cabin was clean and in good repair. Supper at the Fredrich was pricey but delicious. It’s nice to go there once or twice in a trip though. Everything in the gift shop is pretty nice, but expensive, so we didn’t buy anything. We found all staff to be friendly and helpful. The pond is a beautiful place to skate at night, there’s a fun mini-curling rink for the kids, hockey-mini-golf, a small tube hill for the kids (it used to be way bigger and better years ago at its old location!). Pool was good, waterside didn’t bite, hot tub was warm, but yeah, there were a lot of bubbles and grime around the edges of the hot tub the whole trip. That could have been cleaner. Lots of neat little activities each day during the Family Day Week. All in all, we truly enjoyed our stay, and we will be back next year. Beautiful getaway.

After spending some time in Regina, I headed north to Elk Ridge Resort for a getaway in the boreal forest. The location is beautiful and peaceful, surrounded by stunning scenery and abundant wildlife. The resort offers plenty of activities, including walking trails, biking paths, and a golf course. My room was clean, comfortable, and featured a breathtaking view. The only downside was an unpleasant encounter at the front desk when the room key needed reactivating. The staff member was unnecessarily rude, and for a reputable resort with such rates, I expected a more professional and welcoming response. Overall, I had a great time and would recommend this resort to anyone seeking a peaceful and comfortable stay.
