This is an amazing place, and everybody should get one chance in their lifetime to go there and see the Amazing Manatees
Great place to launch your boat or do some fishing. There is a playground for the kids and picnic areas. It also is a trail head for the Coast to Coast bicycle trail.
Plenty of seating, right off the busy road. There is actual bathrooms and a clean Bay Area to drop a boat. Fee is only $2 to drop a boat on the launch.
This is a nice community park with lake access (boat ramp) that also has camping facilities (trailer and tent). There is a ranger station there for assistance. The park has a small playground, volleyball court, pavilions, restrooms, and ample parking. The restrooms are nice, clean, and for single (private) use. I was impressed. I used the park for the Spring to Spring trail access. This is a nice area to go camping if you don’t mind the road noise - probably not bad at night.
Took the Pontoon from French Landing which is by Blue Springs State Park to Lake Monroe then went over to the area next to the main docking station in Sanford for their boat marina. Next door was Lake Monroe Park. Very simple very plain but clean several picnic tables underneath cover. Here are some pics on the way there and at that location..
