Would not recommend – very disappointing lack of compassion We were booked to stay at Yea Riverside Caravan Park for 2 nights at the beginning of January with another couple (paid $200.56). Sadly, the friend that we were due to holiday with had his Dad suddenly became gravely ill, and the family were unexpectedly told to say their goodbyes. I immediately emailed the park ahead of our stay to explain the situation with our upcoming booking. While they acknowledged the situation, I was told that because it was a peak period, a refund would not be considered. Instead, they “generously” offered a credit for future use, minus a $25 admin fee. I was honestly shocked that given the circumstances, they would not consider a refund at all, and even more so that they still felt the need to charge an “admin fee”. I replied explaining how disappointed I was and that I did not want a credit, as I would not be returning after being treated this way. I gave them 3 weeks to reconsider before posting this review. They did not. Devastatingly, my friend’s Dad passed away. My friend lost his Dad at just 30 years of age. During this time, Yea Riverside Caravan Park appeared far more concerned with holding onto money than showing any genuine compassion toward their guests. Our reservation was cancelled with no refund, and the site was then able to be rebooked by another party, meaning the park could potentially be paid twice for the same site. This experience felt greedy and incredibly insensitive. Life happens, and how businesses respond in moments like this says a lot. Unfortunately, this park showed none of the empathy you would hope for. Would not recommend.

We have been staying at Yea Riverside CP for over 30 years now, and in that time we have seen it remain so beautifully tended, with lovely grassed sites, shady trees and pretty gardens. The recently built adventure playground is amazing, and facilities are clean and modern. It has such a lovely welcoming feel, and attracts family friendly people. I am especially glad the park has re-opened to pets year round, as they complete our family camping trip! Thankyou and we'll see you again soon...

Great amenities for camping. The bathrooms were clean and spacious, something you don’t often see in caravan parks. The park seemed to cater well for anyone who would stay here, great playground space for kids and decent sized pool. The unpowered camp grounds allowed us to choose where we want to set up and there was heaps of space to feel comfortable. The only issue was we weren’t allowed to have two cars on the camp site at the same time which would make total sense if the campground was chockers. Although the park was busy with lots of families, the campground for tents was not full at all and we could easily have kept two cars without encroaching on other people. The site manager (i assume their position) was quite strict on the 1 car policy which I think upon reflection, should be reviewed, along with the blunt attitude they displayed upon arrival. On arrival, the site manager told us when departing they can arrange a second code for our car to load up our gear before going home. When it came to asking about this, the request was denied as the park was “at maximum capacity”, yet there were more than adequate sized spaces on either side of our chosen site. The park had a coffee van during the time we stayed there, which is a fantastic idea. Not only convenient, but tasty food and drink options too. Great decision to bring that in 👍

We stayed in a cabin, nice clean well appointed. Camp Kitchen had good gear, e-BBQ plates and gas stove/oven. (Hot water was a little too safe for effective washing dishes- but we managed).

Camping area is great, although there is slight road traffic noise - well, the B300 does pass by - but the overall scenic site, super bathroom and kitchen facilities, plus great hosts and service, make this a fabulous caravan park. It’s also close to the shops (easy walking distance) yet seems to be away from the village. Prices are very reasonable, and we will make this a regular stopover.
