Not sure why this is rated so high. The traffic noise was terrible- constant beeping of trucks backing up next door and highway noise. Gravel needs to be replenished throughout due to the mud. On top of that, they charged me an extra $20 for making reservation by phone when their on-line reservations were down.

Yet another RV Park that claims they are a "resort", but are 100' from a major freeway. If you try to make a short term reservation, such as for one night-like most RV travelers are, you will be paying a much higher price than advertised on their website. When we called to make a reservation, we were talking to a booking company, not the campground, which by the way is an old KOA, with no one in the office apparently. The booking agent offered a $96ish price for full hookups, which I said no thanks. He immediately replied with OK, how about $72, which I accepted. I'm not paying nearly $100 to sleep in a site for 8 hours, in late November, and then listen to the Freeway noise all night. We were maybe 100' from I-24 and tried to mask the noise with earplugs and running fans all night. Most of the campers in this old KOA are full-time residents and you will be treated as a transient. The residents helped us find our camping site, because you can't see the site numbers in the dark and they helped me find the one trash can, on the opposite side of the campground. Definitely not a resort.

The park is clean and neat. It's close to i24 so there is some highway noise but not enough to to be a nuisance. It being close i24 also makes very convenient. The staff are responsive if you contact them. There is no cable and the wifi is slow, so bring your own if you want fast service. There are a few things that could be addressed, but I'm sure that come to frutation with the new management.

Our spot was infested with biting spiders. Looked them up… not deadly, but painful sting… We woke up to get ready for our event Saturday to discover no water in ‘resort’. Office wasn’t open and it was 9 AM. There are a few worn out campers and junk piled up with long timers staying there. There was also a funky smell. When entering the office a friendly large dog greets you and jumps on you. Not sure when these pictures were taken… The RV park looks nothing like this. Location is on a major highway and sleeping is like you are under a bridge on a major highway, in a tent. Very loud. Not a resort… By any means…

IF you are choosing this campground because you used Good Sam, I am sorry. We did too. Next time we will read the reviews. It is extremely overpriced for an overnight stay, especially if you are not hooking up to their water and not using the facilities (read the other reviews on that, we did not use them). This campground is NOT a resort, it is a glorified trailer park. The sites are close together, as it appears to have been a KOA in its previous life. Could not figure out why it smells like trash... (the trash trucks, towns extra dumpsters, and trash collection point is across the street and not the campgrounds fault). I would gladly have paid $40 maybe $50 to stay the night, but definitely not happy with the almost $80. Editing to say the actual cost was $40.. BUT there is a $20 booking fee (for what a greedy corporation)
