My mother and my wife and I stayed there last night beautiful place nice quiet and small lovely owners
I arrived mid-afternoon by bicycle. René stepped out of his office to greet me. He pointed out a place for my tent and got me oriented as far as washrooms, showers and laundry. To my surprise, he said it was his policy to NOT accept payment from long-distance bicycle tourists. The setting here is grassy, trees for shade and a lovely view of surrounding farms. As the name suggests - it’s close to the highway and you can hear traffic. But I’ve stayed at scores of campgrounds along the Trans Canada. Traffic and trains audible from every single one. Washroom facilities, laundry room - clean and in good working order. I’m the only tent here and my RV neighbours are all quiet and friendly.
I highly recommend this campground. Management was amazing and went out of there way to accommodate me. Small campground with a big nature.
FREE CAMPING! If your on a bike motor or pedal you camp for free. How can you argue with a free place to stay. Owner was very nice they appear to have a few permanent trailers but no one seemed sketchy to me. Bathrooms with running water and a shower and also laundry and drinking water. Not the cleanest bathrooms or showers but it's a camp ground not a 5 star resort so what do you expect. Would recommend to anyone passing through on a bike looking for a place to rest your head.
This was one of the most amazing experiences I was granted this past summer. The owners are totally awesome, wholesome and welcoming. The companionship I gained here was warming and inspirating. I will always hold this campground experience in my heart.
