Was surprised that we had to pay $15 to dump our trailer. The water/electric only site cost seems high considering the cost to dump. We had one power post for four sites, make sure you bring an extension cord to run across your site. They did run out of drinkable water for about 12 hrs. I heard that this is a common occurrence. Service was good and I enjoyed the natural look of the campground. River access is superb and we found out we can hang out for a day for low cost picknic table/beach access spot.

Close to Calgary, great beach and river space and we got some pretty good spot (104).. but unfortunately that's about it. Overpriced showers and firewood. Washroom are not the best and not 24 hours. The majority of campsites are way too close together, no privacy. Quiet hours are optional.. people can do whatever they feel like. Now, like some other comments pointed out, this place needs to take more care of their trees and some family got really (un)lucky. Lucky because no one got hurt, but unlucky that a rotten tree fell on their table and hit their trailer. We heard the loud bang, kids screaming and ran to check what you can see in the photos. Frightening situation. Very likely we won't come back here.

We booked 1 month up front for work, but ended up being transferred back to Edmonton after 2 weeks. They ignored my calls and emails asking for anything back, I wouldn't have minded so much if they simply discussed and said no, but to flat out ignore us is rude. The campground is very loud. The bathrooms are filthy, none of the locks work either. The grounds are nasty, they don't clean the sites ever. No views, other than the 7 other campers within spitting distance. It worked for a work setup, sort of. But I'd never camp here for fun đŸ€Ł

Our first visit to this campground. We chose it as it was relatively close to Calgary attractions that we wanted go to. The site itself was decent - there were generally well maintained porta-potties spread throughout, but unfortunately not a ton of privacy offered by trees. There was a playground that was in good condition and a river to glance at- although we were disappointed there was not really a spot to hang out by the river. We had a full service site that fit our needs perfectly. Overall, we would come here again if visiting Calgary. The customer service we had at this campsite was really great. Our power jack randomly stopped working when we were leaving. Thankfully, the receptionist and Carlos were able to help us get going. We are very thankful for the amazing service.

Not the peaceful getaway we hoped for ⭐☆☆☆☆ We recently stayed at Nature’s Hideaway Family Campground and unfortunately, it wasn’t a great fit for us. While it’s conveniently located about 30 minutes from SE Calgary, the experience didn’t match the “hideaway” name or what we were hoping for in a camping trip. The campsites are extremely close together—back to back and side by side—leaving very little privacy or nature to enjoy. Every bit of space has been turned into a campsite, and ours was completely exposed. There were no pictures of the campsites online, so this came as a surprise. Our neighboring site had three tents and over a dozen people, with noise and music continuing until well past 2am. Quiet time is listed as starting at 11pm, but the office closes at 10:30, and there didn’t seem to be anyone ensuring the rules were followed. The overall vibe was more like a busy trailer park than a quiet campground. Some areas looked like long-term stays, and there were abandoned buildings and rusty old machinery lying around—some even with broken glass, which felt unsafe. The washrooms and showers were very small, and water and power hookups were shared. The fire pits didn’t include a grill for cooking either, which added some inconvenience. The river area is tiny and crowded, and there weren’t any trails or activities offered onsite. The campground itself is quite small and really packed with people. It seems like a good spot if you’re into large social camping gatherings, but it’s definitely not the quiet, nature-oriented escape we were looking for. We won’t be returning, but this is just our personal experience. If you prefer peaceful, spacious, and scenic campsites—especially when putting in the effort that camping requires—there are definitely better options closer to the mountains.
