Visited on the off season and looking forward to coming back in the summer! Love the wooded grounds, conveniently located bathrooms throughout the campground sections, lots of hiking trails to get to the lake, and if the beach were open it looks huge! Kayaking was easy by utilizing the boat ramp.
40th annual Halloween Walk. Great affordable family fun. Amazing decorations. Great costumes. Set your calender for next year. Your kids will keep you coming back year after year!
Great shaded spots. Clean grounds and bathrooms. Only bummer was no showers. Great location for fishing trips, with 3 boat ramps close by, and a very nice fish cleaning station at the west ramp.
Wonderful time with my lovely family having rented a nice pontoon with tube, and the lake is beautiful! Staff were very accommodating and we were even able to bring our dogs! The lakeside accommodations are plentiful and filled with the sweet Missouri forestry of plethoric abundance for the best of nature curiosities😄. Worth the drive to see for any nature lover. That's just my opinion🤙✌️😎
Very scenic location with nice tree covered campsites, full hookups, and views of the lake (at least the site we stayed in did). Unfortunately, it was raining for pretty much the entire night we stayed, so we didn’t explore the park that much. There were some nice gravel trails throughout the park, and the bathroom buildings looked nice, at least from the outside. There were a good amount of ticks, but if you stay out of the tall grass you should be fine. Overall, this place seems lovely from our experience here, and I wish we could’ve stayed for longer and explored the area more.
