The manager is a great guy, very friendly and accommodating, thank you Arsh! Nice clean facilities, we highly recommend pacific borders rv park!
Convenient for an overnight stop before an early ferry to Vancouver Island, but nothing else. The booking and check in process is from a pre-digital era and the campground itself is primarily a parking lot for tightly placed permanently sited RV trailers. On the up side, the washrooms were warm and clean although the showers attracted a small charge to use. The overall facilities are quite good but clearly aimed at long term residents.
STAY AWAY!! I was quoted a price for a 6 week stay and then charged more than double!! I reserved four months in advance. I was researching multiple options so had a grasp of the rate ranges available. I wrote down the details provided to me over the phone and reserved specific dates while paying a $500 deposit. Two confirmation emails, which I filed, noted my dates and the deposit but no mention of rates. I responded and once to correct their error on the dates (I was paying attention) but had no reference for any other rate than what was quoted by phone. Four months later when we checked in under pressing circumstances I signed the registration and paid up front - unfortunately I didn’t pay enough attention. I should have questioned the rate immediately. I first wanted to find my notes to confirm it wasn’t my mistake. I brought the matter to the office employees’ attention but it took me a few weeks. It wasn’t easy to find items ‘stowed away’. I have now been told I’m totally in the wrong. That I might have “just written those notes”, that I signed the registration, that I didn’t come forward soon enough, that rates are subject to change and that NO they never put rates in confirmation emails. There was a lot of double-talk and zero responsibility taken. I acknowledge I should have questioned things sooner and if unsatisfied we should have moved out. Easier said than done and I assumed wrongly that there was some honesty involved. I guarantee I heard the quote correctly and someone on their end made a mistake and quoted me a typical monthly rate. To be immediately shut down with no interest in responsibility, honesty or accountability leads me to warn others in my first ever review of a property. Shame on them for not seeking some equitable solution!!!
Good Morning, I have called your park twice and was given conflicting answers. I have a brand new, custom ordered, good looking Cargo Trailer that I am converting to a RV. One rep said it was good and one said I was not welcome. I subsequently sent an email including a picture for clarity - no one replied. You would be saving potential customers time if you simply put a list of unwelcome RV’s on your website. Cargo Trailer Conversions are a fast growing trend, they don’t all look like trash.
I have been to many parks in BC....this is hands down the best! It's spotless always. The pool is amazing and hot tub and sauna. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Spots are great! The people here are amazing and so helpful. If your new to rving or just a seasonal traveller make sure you stop by Pacific Border RV!
