We spent a few days at this magnificent campground. Our lodge was just what we needed: an extremely quiet place surrounded by nature, close to the lake, hiking trails, and Crater Lake. I cannot find words strong enough to describe the warm welcome we received from Jim and Annita, who are simply wonderful. It was with a heavy heart that we left this little paradise. If we ever return to Oregon, we will come back here without hesitation. A big thank you again for your hospitality, for chatting with us, and for being there for us. Marion.
This KOA is in a much more remote location than others we’ve stayed at. We really loved that aspect. Lots of shade trees and good sites with a table and fire ring. The lake is lovely. The park is close enough to Crater Lake to be convenient but away from the crowds. Lemolo Lake is lovely, too. Would love to come back!
Was a beautiful spot we had. Nice to have wood delivered to camp site. Was though most disappointed that our camp ground area only had 2 port a toilets to use. They were very full and smelled terrible. Water station had only a trickle. Was disgusting and sorry but a business should be embarrassed to offer this as a bathroom to guests. Only had one bathroom/shower combo in same room to use by the office. Was nice but who wants to drive all the way up there to use in middle of the night. No water to use near your site either. Do better KOA.
Nice sight and amenities. Good lake access as well. Reason for the low rating is the staff kind of sucks, perform road grating and kick dust up when people are trying to hangout. They enforce certain rules like their life depends on it. The second quite hours start they’ll be running up to tell you to be quite even if you all you did was coughed, but people can have bright strobing Christmas lights on all night shining through windows and into tents. Little weird to enforce somethings so strictly but not others. It be nice to hang around by a campfire at night since you can’t in the day when they’re making dust storms in the camp sites. I’ve always thought KOA campgrounds were supposed to be family campgrounds but clearly that has changed, don’t plan on coming here to hang out since you’re expected to basically be inside lights out at 10. Also after reading the responses to low rated reviews I can tell someone should probably not be managing this place. The responses are unprofessional and you can tell someone has had little experience in managing customer relations.
What a beautiful out of the way camp ground! The owners and staff were so friendly and gave great customer service. They even brought our ice to our site and put it in the cooler for us. Lots of options for rentals to enjoy the lake. Facilities were clean and the sites were large set up nicely. We will definitely come back for a longer stay.
