Loved it stayed there for a week gor work it is definitely not a motel 8. General store and restaurant is like stepping back to my childhood when things just seemed calmer and carefree. Staff is a big family that knows how to treat people. Add Santa Claus here for the kids building water water park has plenty of RV spots and cozy unique cottages go there you won't regret it
The best place to camp. We go there quite a bit throughout the season. Always have a blast.
Okay so this is a really cool place to visit. We did book for a weekend hoping less kids = less people and to enjoy the adult only pool but sadly nothing was stated on pool closing date so the 1 reason we booked we didn't get to enjoy. The bands were fun, fishing was okay..lake is super low with no rain this year. We rented the A frames which were nice!!! Only down fall to them is they are super close to each other. Here's my spill.. we had neighbors, rented 3, took up the whole sidewalk, grass, everything. So walking to the bathroom/shower house was a chore. I do suggest that maybe the A frames have no pets!!!! These people had 2 midsized dogs. Scene: the neighbors had chairs, toys, bikes, bags, pokers,et, and 2 dogs on tie outs. Walking to shower with towels and bag,i had to walk around, zig, zag, dodge everything. 1 dog nearly tripped me and the other jumped on me. Made to shower to realize it takes quarters to use...walk back so i took the grass only to walk around 2 golf carts, bikes, toys...found a quarter...walk back to shower this time 1 of the dogs aggressively barked... this was the scene every time to pee ,leave, or shower! The space is small and these people didn't care to invade your space. The dogs were the worst part. And it should be on website that it cost quarters to use showers. 5 minutes isn't long enough to heat up the water and shower especially with butt length hair. Thankfully we had quarters since we used most at the arcade. Also, maybe a map of the campsite to each when checking in, the girl gave us horrible directions and coming in at 8pm everything is dark and not lite enough to see signs. Will still suggest the place and maybe visit again next year.
I would 100% recommend Twin Eagle Resort. Its pretty awesome when you go camping and you feel you don't have to leave the campground for entertainment. We had an awesome stay and will definitely be back
It's so close to home from the St. Louis area. Great accommodations (cabins of all shapes and sizes) even if you don't own an RV!!! Peaceful setting with great amenities like a swim up bar at the adult pool and a separate kiddie pool, for the under 18 crowd. Pickleball courts, golf cart rentals, live music every weekend, large lake for fishing, kayaking and paddle boating.....and more!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you've never camped there before.
