Kandiyohi County Parks - Park #3

Diamond Lake County Park is a nice spot if you’re looking for easy lake access and a convenient place to get on the water. The public boat landing is very close, which makes launching boats or kayaks quick and stress-free. I’ve brought my kids here during the summer for kayaking and in the winter for ice fishing, and we’ve enjoyed it in every season. One downside in the summer is that the beach area really isn’t great due to seagull droppings being pretty much everywhere, so swimming or beach time isn’t ideal. That said, the fishing has always been solid. Over the years we’ve caught walleye, perch, northern, crappie, and sunfish — a great mix that keeps things exciting for kids. Overall, it’s a reliable park for fishing and lake activities and a fun place to make family memories.

Kids had a fun time, good spot. Two things though is my kids and girlfriend all got cut up by sharp rocks in the water by the beach, and there was a hell of a lot of seaweed. Not enough to not come back though 👍

Took the kids out in the boat off the park access for the first time for them 2 this week, they loved it

I absolutely love it! It's a nice clean park with lots of activities. Fishing, swimming, baseball fields, playgrounds, and It's inexpensive and nights really look like this on a clear night!! The store is open until 8 p.m. as well. 2 Thumbs up!!!
