Golf course and ball diamonds in one area!
Traveling through from Lethbridge to Coldlake we spent the night at the Castor Kinsman Camp Ground. It is located next to the town golf course and ball diamonds. Amenities: The camp sites provide both back in and drive through sites. Each site provides both water and power. All sites come with a picnic table. There is a RV dump station. The camp site also provides flush toilets, sinks and showered. Open 24/7. There are two restaurants with in a 3 min walk. The Good: Power, water, dump station, running toilets, showers, mature 9 hole golf course that is well maintained. Wash rooms were clean and tidy. Price was great, very reasonable. The Bad: My only real complaint is the power. Plug ins are 15amp
Narrow camping site, pretty much sharing; cheap enough, I guess. $25/day?
Recently passing through Castor on our travels and decided to stay the night at the Castor Recreation Campground. We took site#10 - great spot, sheltered on east side with tall spruce trees. We utilized both the water and electric hookups for $25/night. We were directly across from golf course and ball diamonds. It was quiet, last golfers came in by 9:30 pm. A ball game started at 8:30 the following morning with players arriving around 8am. While players parked around area and campgrounds they were cognizant of campers and left enough room for us that were leaving early. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this campground. Ps: Castor is a clean, well kept small town...I think it would be a great place to live.
Despite its small size, this is a lovely campsite. Very reasonably priced, good showers, nice bathrooms, and with the golf course and the ball diamond and the playground right there there's lots to do.
