We did a primitive camp. The views are amazing! There is hiking trails and the historic cemetery is breathtaking. There are remnants of the fort that was built during the revolutionary war!
Love this park. The only down side is the bathrooms colud use a little work and better ventilation.
This is a perfect place to let my dog run out all his energy (and he has a lot). It's a nice place for a picnic or nature walk. Lots of shady spots for those hot summer days. Beautiful views of the Mississippi River from the pavilion, although I prefer the deserted area over by the woods. The grounds are very well maintained.
Very beautiful historic site. Not really a full day trip but worth a quick stop by if you're in the area
Ft Kaskaskia offers a spectacular view of the Mississippi River towards kaskaskia Island, farmland in the bottomland, and Sainte Genevieve in the distance. There is a large pavilion to have a picnic and there is a playground for kids to enjoy. In the fall the trees present a spectacular color display.
