I think it's hard to picture the remoteness of this location when you're from the city until you get there. It's in a beautiful spot, the people that work there are super lovely, and considering the remoteness I wasn't expecting Hilton type accommodation. The room was basic but mostly clean (it could have been a tiny bit cleaner, when I opened the freezer where was a hair in there which was super gross), but I think their focus is more on providing a camping/campervan type experience. It was quiet when I was there so very peaceful. I got to meet the chickens and pet lambs which was super cute, very special thanks to Helen for obliging my inner child! And it was nice to see emus and kangaroos etc. There is no Wi-Fi and cell phone reception is patchy, so go in without those expectations.

We had a great, but short stay at Spear Creek. The team were very friendly and helpful. We took advantage of one of the 4WD tracks for a little fun and to experience the great views. Amenities were very clean and tidy. Highly recommended. Thanks guys!

We stayed for 1 night in a powered site on our way through and this place is a hidden gem! So tidy and clean. Beautiful Aussie bush! Stunning sunset walk! We also picked up fresh lamb roast. So quiet and calm. Such a better vibe than the busy Port Augusta caravan parks. We have recommended to all other travellers we’ve met heading your way.

What a fantastic place to stop. We only had one night at Spear Creek but thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A real outback experience and beautiful surroundings. We had a powered spot and arrived after hours. Our instructions were waiting for us on arrival and all rather easy to follow. Amenities were great. Simple but clean. However highlight for us was the sunset. Lovely little spot and a must on an evening. Overall, fantastic little stop off!

We had a fantastic time here—beautiful views, peaceful surroundings, and very clean, well-kept facilities. Karlene and Rod were outstanding hosts; their warm, genuine service really made the stay feel special. And you must try their lamb—tender, flavorful, and a true highlight of the visit. The whole park has a relaxed, welcoming vibe, making it an ideal spot to unwind. I’d happily stay again and highly recommend it.The kids absolutely loved feeding the little lamb. Thank you again Karline and Rod!
