This campground was very nice! The on-site managers take excellent care of this small and friendly campground. It has a wonderful playground and when we were there a dad set up a makeshift slip and slide for the kids (and some adults). The beach had some nice sand but was pretty overgrown. There was plenty of firewood and kindling and lots of burn pits at the beach and sites. There is an excellent dock and kayak chute, both unusual and helpful. There was debate about swimming but I did and enjoyed it ( and 4 days later no itch or sickness) if you can get past the murky look it's sandy and refreshing. We took the half hour drive to the Grand Sunset Drive-In (whose proceeds support local charities) while we camped. This took are great camping trip to amazing! Also, Dog friendly.
A great spot. Unpaved access and some industrial on the south side of the lake but quiet and pretty
Awesome lake for kayaking ! early in the summer the kids love swimming in the lake, however by August there is usually ro make algae to enjoy swimming.
Went on off-season and was very empty and clean, even the outhouses were kept in mint condition. Very cute. The water was a bit slimy, but it was overall a great experience.
First time staying was really pleasant. Had a nice park for the kids play at and a beach for them to the care takers are nice and take really good care of the place. Free fire wood and the out houses you can actually go into with out wanting to puck As soon as you open the door. Top notch.
