We did the Skyline Trail and Manzanita Trail Loop. This is a 4.5-mile trail that should take between two and three hours at a normal walking pace, with stops for photography and enjoying the scenery. I took almost four hours to complete this trail because I stopped several times to watch the birds. I’m not sure if it’s like this throughout the whole park, but in all the areas we passed, there was a huge variety of birds. You could hear birds singing very clearly, I saw several birds of prey, some very close, and also many woodpeckers. The nature there is very beautiful, and keep in mind, we’re in the middle of winter. I’m looking forward to coming back here in the spring.

Definitely a win in the way of beauty, safety, and close proximity to Napa. We drive south on the 128 then Silverado Trail past all the wineries. Incredible drive. This RV park seemed like the best deal in the area during off season months. If you plan your most desired winery tours, then book this at the same time, it could be an affordable jaunt up to Napa.

We wanted a shorter hike. So we took buckeye and lower skyline loop trail. The trail was not great in terms of scenic views. But gives some good high spots to view down the valley. It was a week day. So the traffic on trail was quite less which was good! It’s not shadowy, so you may want to choose your timing right. The numeral only signboards were not that super helpful in navigating the trail. Overall ok trail for an unplanned, short hike …

Nice park. Nice disc golf course one could play. Trail marking could be a little better as not all shown are accessible. Also, trails are a bit rocky. If you're an experienced mountain biker that likes hills, then they were fine. Ebikes would have a bit of a problem. The Lake Marie at the end of one of the trails was nice; about 1.5 miles upwards and took at least 45 min each way. Outhouse about half way was available. 2 showers and 2 restrooms are available... they need upgrading. Lady at front kiosk was very friendly. If you're biking to town, the road has no bike party and the traffic is a little fast. Large native garden area.

Excellent park, complete with RV Hook Ups, California Native Gardens, clean restrooms and showers and over 25 miles of hiking trails. Entry fee $6.00. Hiked the Skyline Park Perimeter Loop Trail @ 10 miles. Well marked & maintained trail. Very enjoyable hike, saw a rafter of 20 turkeys, several deer, very large squirrels, California Newt, Red Tail Hawks, Kestrel, Red Head Acorn Woodpeckers. & California Quail.
