1st time here, Incredible gem that we were able to be at (because of a cancelation). We had no idea this was here. Only 10 spots but wow, what a great lil park with gorgeous sunrises! Thanks Van & Brett for all your work saving & restoring this. It's a picture of what God does with our lives. ❤️

What an awesome weekend! Sugar Sand Beach RV Resort in Matlacha is such a relaxing spot. It has its own private dock, and during our stay we basically had the whole place to ourselves. It’s perfect whether you’re just passing through and need a one-night stop or you’re spending the whole weekend unwinding. Hookups were super easy, the water views were beautiful, and the restaurants in Matlacha were amazing. The area has really bounced back since the hurricane, which was great to see. They even have a fire pit, and the owner actually supplies the wood, which made it super convenient. There’s also a hammock and great water access for kayaks or paddleboards. One of our favorite things was the little shower house—really clean, private bathroom and shower, plus a great hangout area with a full kitchen, TV, and couches. It was perfect for relaxing outside of the camper. Overall, it’s a great place to rest, recharge, and enjoy Matlacha. Highly recommend it!

What a hidden gem. For an area hit by devastating hurricanes a few years in a row, this little island is building back up. From Sugar Sand, you can walk to breakfast, lunch and dinner and enjoy the gift shops that are back up and running. Some of the best local artist gifts I've found anywhere. Sugar Sand itself is super relaxing. My two dogs and I enjoying a week in this paradise. Island vibes, owner is super helpful and nice, other guest were a lot of fun to hang with. I can't say enough positive things about this place. If I come back to Florida, I will 100% come back here.
