*Update- Section T was more like a regular campground and suitable for larger rigs.* Check in was quick and easy. There is a small store at camp with souvenirs. The roads are narrow with trees in just about every site. The sites are tight, and difficult to get into. I had someone help me out who was staying there. Not a big rig friendly campground - only saw one Class A and would he nervous for them to navigate the driveway. It's more suitable for camper vans and teardrops. Otherwise you might struggle if you're not used to backing into tight spots. There are dog bag stations and trash bins to put your trash in. They are emptied every day. The bathhouse was nice. Only 4 showers and there was a line in the evening. But let me tell you, the water pressure is glorious!!! I hadn't had such a nice shower in years. This is a popular campground, so you need to make reservations way ahead of time. I made reservations 7 months ago and grabbed the very last site available. Plan in advance. You also pay $10/day parking when you arrive to the island. This can be done online or when you get there. Super close to Driftwood beach. Can't beat the location. There are trumpet players that played Taps every evening between 9-9:30pm. I loved that!
Great campground! It's very family friendly. Sites are pretty much on top of each other, but that lends itself to friendly neighbor interactions. The sites are very well shaded. The bathhouse are very clean and comfortable. It's an easy walk to Driftwood Beach and a short drive to other destinations on the island.
Amazing location, private and fairly easy to navigate. Lots of trees so we opted for the back left side due to our rig being 42 feet. Staff amazing and accommodating. A must visit. WiFi isn’t great in island in general and we had spotty Starlink due to obstructions. *If you work remote be aware.
We’d stay at this campground again! Sites were surrounded by beautiful trees with the ability to bike directly from the campground. Great paved bike paths that go all the way around the island, about 15 miles. The highly popular Driftwood Beach is only 1/2 mile from the campground. And the customer service was amazing!
Great campground in a fun place! We visited Jekyll Island for the first time and camped at the campground and had a great experience. The campground is nice, the new bath house is amazing (the older one is pretty rough though!), and they have bikes you can rent for a great deal. We loved exploring the area that way. They also have nice laundry facilities that you can use and pay with card or via an app. It was super handy!
