Apollo Bay Holiday Park

Stayed 3 nights, did not get the cabin we booked, we booked a queen cabin which sleeps 2 and has a balcony. Close to beach and town. We got a cabin that sleeps 4 without any balcony. To sit outside we had to sit in car park between our car and a motorhome behind. Bathroom tap leaked(sink stained), vanity had water damage. Very tired looking also needed paint. One wall in living area looked like it was patched by a child. Kitchen tap leaked, only supplied very small milk and 3 coffees, tea bags and sugars. One bath towel each for 3 night stay. Bed was very uncomfortable and felt like it was going to collapse each time we moved. Fly screen on front door, kitchen and spare bedroom all damaged. Park was well equipped and clean. Sign in cabin advising we had to clean before leaving otherwise a fee would apply, since when has the guest had to clean, usually these places employ cleaners for this. TV in lounge had no signal, we had to do a Channel scan to get tv, tv in bedroom had reception issue couldn’t watch. Lady at the reception was very nice and pleasant. This accommodation was well over priced for what we had, especially since we didn’t get what we booked. Unfortunately we won’t be staying there again.

We recently stayed here and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience from the moment we arrived. At check-in we were told we owed an additional $20 to have a bed made up for our child, after booking and paying for 3 people. This was never stated on our Booking.com confirmation, and we did not receive any email advising of extra linen charges. When we raised this, the staff member was dismissive and insisted it must have been in an email from Booking.com. We checked, it wasn’t. The room itself was extremely small and poorly presented. The bunk room was barely large enough to fit three narrow bunks, let alone a 14-year-old comfortably. It honestly felt like three beds had been squeezed into a space far too small for them. What disappointed us most was the attitude at reception. Instead of acknowledging the confusion around the extra charge, we were met with rudeness and zero willingness to help. We understand budget accommodation comes with compromises, but transparency, basic comfort, and respectful customer service should still be expected. Unfortunately, we would not stay here again

Great location. Great amenities. Cooking, cleaning etc. Good clean pool. Wheelchair friendly. Good kids playground and games relax room. Camp sites are flat and well maintained. Rated 4 star as thought the sites a little cramped. Overall a very pleasant stay, friendly staff. Good value for money.

Great spot for a family holiday with young kids under 5. Roomy cabins, comfortable and plenty of deck space to sit, read and eat. Easy walk to the beach (great vantage point for NYE fireworks) and a slightly longer walk (or short drive) to the main strip. Kids can comfortably run around/ride scooters safely even with cars infrequently coming in and out. Generally a very quiet spot. Great place to stay. Food wise Apollo Bay Bakery: amazing good for brekky/lunch/snacks and top notch coffee. Pies are fantastic. George's: best food for families with young kids who have chips with every second meal. Big variety, and the food is fantastic. Better souvlaki then alot of spots in Melbourne.

Quiet surprised by this park. I don’t think the website does it justice. Everything is so clean and organised, as well as well presented. The camp kitchen and Facilties are second to none. There is a fully enclosed clean kitchen with tables and chairs. Upstairs is a lounge and tv / foxtel Facilties. Close to the township. Walking distance for those long lunches.
