Super peaceful and quiet. The owners and workers are really nice. Me and my husband had to stay past their seasonal closing and they let us stay until we figured out where we were going next. Super nice people. Love it here.
Terrible place, bathroom have curtains and you have to pass thru one stall to get to other- no privacy, one toilet coming off floor, sulfa water stunk so bad I could not shower, gun range near by shoots all day and into evening, bought firewood, expected log pieces, they were like kindling/small pieces-a joke, looked like many campers there were living there homeless, which was sad, sites not level either. Do not recommend at all
This campground is amazing. No, it doesn't have wifi or laundry. But it has a lake for fishing on one side and swimming on the other side. It's out in the country and very old fashioned they only take cash, and the office reminds you of an old general store from the 60's in the south. They make reservations only with pen and paper no computers. Everyone is so nice, and William, the owner, is awesome. The beach by the lake is very clean and kept up really nice. The price is so much cheaper than all the other campgrounds. The showers are hot and kept clean. This campground is so peaceful and everyone is so nice. All of the ladies in the office are amazing. This place stays open until some time in November or whenever it starts freezing. Great people just beautiful country living.
We were part of a group camp. There were about 30 of us, all celebrating sobriety. This means sitting in a large circle around the campfire talking. While we were gathered, finishing our dinner a truck drove up to our area. The driver of the truck was not with our group. He was driving about 10 Mph. No issues. The "supervisor" if the camp ground came flying up to the truck on his golf cart, literally sliding to a stop. He hot out and started totally berating the driver for driving too fast. After he had finished he came over to our group and started yelling at one of the ladies. He accused the group of being wild, saying there were more complaints about our group than any other. He was horrible, got in her face and was just nasty. He came back and yelled at our group a second time after one of us left, going faster than he liked. The bathrooms were filthy, clogged toilet, urinal not working. Brown water for showering. The picnic tables were warped and broken. The camp spots weren't level. The majority of the campground seemed to be residential with people having permanent fencing, decks, etc. There was a decent amount of weekend partying happening, which is not unusual in seasonal campgrounds. Nice enough Lake. Never going back. Very rude supervisor. Very.
Went to check this place out today and ran into a fruitcake Manager or Maintenance guy on a golf cart. He chased me down on a golf cart. I was driving around looking at RV sites and I guess speeding in a 5mph limit I told him I didn't see the signs. He reminded me they were everywhere. I told him I was to focused on the sites and just did not see them. Then he started to lecture me about why speeding was bad I stated I was sorry and didn't need to be lectured. THat drove him crazy and he went mad I tried to leave he hopped on my window while I was driving. I stopped and let him ramble on. I once again said i was sorry and was leaving. After listening for what seemed like for ever I finally was able to leave. This guy was crazy and not a way anyone should behave. I would highly recommend anyone to stay away from this place.
