City Park

Free camping anywhere (just call the local police to let them know) with potable water, and the bonus of a bar with decent food (and a gas station) within walking distance.

They have an updated playground. Nice little shelter houses with electric. The restrooms could use an update but usable. They allow tent camping with a pass from city hall. Right on the Katy trail. City pool open during the summer season. Great little small town park.

I was traveling to Colorado through Missouri and ended up stopping at Pilot Grove Missouri. They have a nice little city park, no hook ups but very clean and level. Enjoyed my stay in this small town. Friendly people. Look forward to coming back.

What a beautiful place! We walked on the trail and enjoyed beautiful landscaping, a lake reflecting the clouds in the summer sky, and friendly people who smiled and said Hello as they met us walking their dogs. I even had a young bright eyed squirrel come right up to me and hang around and chatter like we were well acquainted. Definitely a five star review for city park. Thank you

Great place to wait out a storm, or sleep for the night if you're riding the Katy trail. The bathrooms are a tad gross, but it's a real bathroom and not just a hole in the ground. There's shelters, and electrical outlets. A pool to swim in, and a locker room with a shower. Knocked off a star for the bathroom quality, and not having anything directing cyclist to the appropriate place to sleep.
