Cajun Cowboy Motel & RV Park

I was hopeful this hotel was going to be decent, but was sorely disappointed, especially for the $80 I paid. It was close to where I was working on a house and when I called and talked to them they told me how wonderful the property was. The reality ended up being a room that was not clean. There were smushed bugs on the wall, a dirty pillow case, the blinds were filthy, everything in the bathroom was really worn. We discovered the water had super low to no pressure so we talked with the front desk and they said they would figure out what was going on. It was pretty late at this point so we went to bed. The water was still not working in the morning so went to talk to the front desk to see about a refund or at least a discount. We were told the water was out in the whole town and she would not refund the money. She came and looked at the room and we pointed out all of the issues and still refused to issue any sort of refund. There was a plumber on the property since they were working on a remodel so we asked him if the water was out in the whole town he said "no, if it had I would have been getting calls all night, yours must have just been turned off". Not sure what was going on and maybe it was a bad day, regardless they didn't do anything to try and make it right and flat out lied about the water situation. I have stayed in some pretty crappy hotels, and this was one of the worst. It wouldn't have been too bad had they at least tried to take pride in cleaning the room and taking care of their customers.

Very friendly place to stay. The atmosphere was very nice. There rooms are very clean. If there is a problem they will take care of it right there on the spot. They do welcome pets. If for some reason your vehicle doesn't start no need to worry They will get you back up on your feet. They do have a RV.park and it is very clean. It's a place where your family can enjoy the comfortable place to enjoy away from home. Don't forget to bring your fishing gear because they do have a large pond to enjoy catching fish. A very clean Atmosphere ! They do also have Satellite for your RV.

I've only stayed here once- but I know people who do stay here & I know the workers- so generally with what the workers have to do, put up with, clean-up & replace/repair I personally think this establishment does a great job. The rooms are basic but as clean as one would expect with the volume of folks in & out of the rooms. They are not new- and if they were they still wouldn't be due to the clientele! Most, not all. Anyways it's a good place to stay for a fair price. Ponds to fish in, good location. I'd recommend this motel.

The manager was courteous, kind, and friendly. My family booked the double room with the kitchenette; it gave us much needed space. The room was very clean and quiet; there was also a lot of areas to wonder and stretch your legs. The beds, though squawky, were very comfortable. There was also as much hot water as our family needed. The only negative to staying was the spotty internet. The two tvs were dated, too.

The one thing I can say are the people are very nice. The rooms are all smoking rooms and we were not told that; not clean at all; and clean up service was a joke. They make your bed and that’s it. They didn’t leave extra towels, soap, etc for our second day stay. When asked for pillows and towels I was escorted to a shed like room that was very dirty and was given some extra towels. Owner said she would get us some more pillows from her grandchild’s room. The carpets were filthy and were never vacuumed during our stay there . If we had not already paid, we would most definitely stayed somewhere else. Like I said the people were very sweet but the rooms were horrible. All of my other family members got there after we had already checked in and went to look at their rooms and immediately left and went to stay at another nearby hotel which they said was super nice and they were served a great breakfast, and the price was less per night. We did not receive breakfast... and I wouldn’t have eaten it due to the filthy conditions. The ice machine had mold and mildew inside with the ice. I’ve never been a person to post a review but I wouldn’t want anyone to have the experience we had.
