Great campground beside the river. Beautiful place to relax and enjoy picturesque walks. Well maintained areas and interesting features within the camp. Camp manager hosts are very friendly and try to help out where they can. Has outhouses, as well as plumbing washroom with showers. Enjoyed a campers Sunday morning service right on site. Close walk to town if forgotten anything. I've stayed here in the past and will definitely return.
The campground is very quiet and relaxing with it being close to the Red deer river. John, the caretaker was very nice and accomodating. Bathroom was clean and this campground offers a full shower. It is also a walking distance to a grocery store, gas station, restaurants and bars. And the site spot we had was perfect, we will gladly come come back.
One of our favorite places to camp. Beautiful sites and very clean. The campground host Jack, is so friendly!! And his dog Odie is so playful. Close walking distance to amenities such as groceries, fast food, coffee, gas, snacks and drinks. There are power sites and non power sites and easy access to the river no matter what site you are at. There is also a playground for the kids. Full service washrooms and showers, firewood you can purchase from the host (they will deliver to your site) garbages, recycling and water spouts (potable and non). Easy booking just by calling. They accept all methods of payment. Great campground in Sundre!
No fire ban! Lol the hosts are very accommodating and the place is really well maintained. Just a little far from Calgary but the campfire and marshmallows at night made the trip worthwhile. Only thing i think this campground could do better is if the day use area is the area closer to the road and the campsite moved to where the day use is now. It's pretty quiet at night, Sundre not being busy at night but just a thought for me. Overall it's a nice campground beside the Red Deer River, clean washrooms, and cheaper than usual rate. One more night and we're leaving tomorrow.
Friendly, clean and convenient. We hit a hiccup on the road. While waiting for part, Greenwood was open, inviting (residing along the banks of the Red Deer River) and accommodating. $10 for a wheelbarrow's worth of fire wood. Showers are free. Dump fee is also $10. Greenwood is also located beside a quaint museum and a minutes walk from Sundre's main street showcasing the shops and boutiques the region is known for. Very nice campground, very nice stay.
