This is a KOA Journey. To me that means a overnight stop and not a destination stop. Reading some of the reviews I got the impression the reviewers were newbies and didn't know the difference. The spots are good sized, pull thru gravel, full hookups and plenty wide. Long bed, 4 door F250 with a Imagine 2970RL. Plenty of room. We got in over an hour after office closing, well after dark, and the host met me coming out the door of the late arrival ppwk area. Older, gruff, a real American taking care of his camp. Escort to the spot, help lining up, explanation of the hookups and a good night. Perfect. While the camp is near I44, very little interstate noise. Someone mentioned a train in their review...no trains. I even went looking on Google Maps for train tracks. No tracks. Good electric, and water. Quiet. Neat and orderly. We didn't access the building, showers or anything beyond the immediate area. Overnight stop, KOA Journey. We marked it on our book as a we'll return. $57 with tax. Petro and Loves at the exit. Exactly everything we want in a overnight stop and w/o anything we don't want. Recommended. BTW... To the campground host: thank you for your service, Sir.

Great overnighter with slightly low water pressure, good power, and 4-in sewer connections. Beautiful mature oaks on site, and it's a nice, rustic little place.

It was adequate. We tent camped. Bathrooms were clean, the two guys that checked us in we're informative and nice. Water and electricity were as expected. The playground was great for our one night stay. I think we saw one fish in the tiny pond, but it kept my young kids busy. The highway noise is quite loud at night, but was expected based on previous reviews.

This is by far the worst KOA I’ve stayed at. If you want to stay at a quiet relaxing spot don’t stay here. Even though the Journey KOA ‘s are a step down from other KOA’s the grounds aren’t very well kept. There were campers on both sides of us that were unoccupied during the two days we spent there on a weekend. One camper looked pretty well trashed. The man riding the golf cart was not friendly and did not greet us upon arrival. When my husband entered the office for check-in and get a cup of coffee the woman wasn’t very friendly and a cup of coffee was a $1.50 for a very small cup without a lid and about for ounces in a cup. The dog park looked extremely unkept so we never utilized it. A train runs near this property which doesn’t bother me but the traffic noise is loud.

We stayed one night traveling through the state. We try to look for KOAs for overnights because normally you can count on cleanliness of facilities and grounds and feel safe. This KOA has a lot of permanent spots that are not well kept with a lot of tall grass, old vehicles and junk sitting around which makes this KOA look sketchy.
