Family Fishing N’ Camping

Nice place but was way way better fishing when the old man owned it back in 2002 he stocked it often I haven’t heard it being stocked with catfish in years went their 4 times in 2024 only caught 2 carp no catfish and I used to catch 10 or more cats every time I went this place has went downhill needs to be stocked monthly like it used to be probably hasn’t been stocked in years

I’m a traveler and had bought my first motorhome when I found this gem of a campground. It’s rustic and outdoorsy and private, but with lots of people and very friendly faces around. I’ve so enjoyed staying here. Mr. Ralph and his wife are so amazing and accommodating and some of the nicest people I’ve ever come across.

I've only visited 1 time so this review is based off of that. The grounds seem to be well kept and very clean, roads are decent, some campers look pretty rough though with alot of things stacked around. The ponds are beautiful and well kept and the fishing is phenomenal atleast in the pond farthest back, its the only pond i fished. I traveled there from out of town due to hearing they have some good size catfish and was not disappointed. I payed for fishing for me and my wife but the only downfall was they come by on a golf cart at 8:45 to let us know we needed to be gone by 9pm. Had I know that I would have payed for camping and just fished all night. We ended up only getting about 3 hrs of fishing in after traveling. May be back in the future

Long overdue.. Campground was great.. The people were even better. We stayed last year during our son's baseball tournament. Once we found out we had a tournament in Bridgeport again this year, we booked this campground once more. Looking forward to another great weekend of camping!

Nice quiet campground with 4 fishing ponds, lots of wildlife and nice playground.
