Filled up fast first come first serve clean but older campground. Half price with ABP. nice view of dam and boat launch. Early in season can imagine busy place in summer
Beautiful scenic views, large camping sites with canopy shelter, firepit, table, vault toilet and a grill stand. Great fishing spot. It is very windy most of the time. If you have a tent make sure to stake it good.
The road getting here was good, no ruts. Flies were so horrible at this place that you can’t enjoy the scenery, which is AMAZING! Being right on the reservoir and looking out for miles is breathtaking. I’m glad i didn’t listen to the reviews on this on my DYRT app. I seen zero deer carcasses from hunters and it was peaceful. 3 pit commodes (one was closed for wet paint the whole time we where there). Dumpsters, and some water spickets. There was electric boxes but they had locks on them. The cost of staying here is $5 day use, $15 a night. we stayed two. No trees, No fires. I would not stay here again unless they opened up the electric boxes and maintained the grounds better.
Great spot to stop for the night a few miles off Highway 93 on a paved road. They have picnic tables, BBQs, fire pits, pit toilets, water faucets, dumpsters and an RV dump station. Along with the view of the Salmon Creek Reservoir, the $5/night price can't be beat! It was very quiet, the spots had some privacy with trees and only a few were taken when we stayed on a Friday night. We also easily parked our 23 foot camp trailer and truck. Pics below are from Campsite #7.
This is nice little place. Lots of locals and boaters come for the weekend but it's all quiet now. We were here for 8 days and other than the wind we have no complaints. Oh ONE THING.... The BLM doesn't have the clean water taps marked. There are water taps all over but only two in the park are drinking water. That issue needs addressed. We put non-potable water in our rig.
