Ti Motel Torres Strait

TI motel is probably the best accommodation in the island. Very clean. Room is renovated, good size with ok furniture, good pillows, has microwave, fridge, kettle, provides coffee/tea/milk. Has a nice and big TV in the room. Has free and strong WI-FI !!! very importan to keep on touch with family when you come to TI for work WELL DONE TI Motel!!!. Friendly staff. Has bending machines for after hours needs. It's around the corner from supermarket, very practical!. Good location 50mts from the waterfront. I stayed in both, TI Motel and Jardine Motel and can make a comparison and the clear winner by long distance is TI motel. (Jardine 2.5* vs TI Motel 4.5*). If you need a decent place to stay TI Motel is much better choice.

I stayed here recently for work. The rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet with plenty of space to charge all my equipment and setup a little home office. The hire car was perfect for the task too. Phil and the team are friendly and extremely helpful. Thank you, I'll be back.

This motel exceeded my expectations, even after I had read the very positive reviews. Conveniently located to everything on Thursday Island, you can walk to the neighbouring supermarket for breakfast essentials, the Torres Hotel for lunch/dinner, which is coincidentally THE place for food and good times on the island. The motel rooms have everything you need and it is clear a lot of thought has been put into the set up. I particularly appreciated the high quality towels and sheets, features that are often a let down in even the most refined 5 star hotel. While the internet and mobile service was down across Thursday Island during my five days on the island, TI Motel had WiFi service for three of the five days, which proved very important for staying in touch with family and work colleagues. I would definitely stay here again.

Very comfortable, clean and friendly. Bed was extra comfy, and a lot of thought had gone into the details - was a couch and table in the room, cleaning equipment, washing basket, tea and coffee making facilities. All perfect. Very helpful friendly staff. Also can hire a car for a few hours too from the office. McDonalds ferry courtesy bus will pick up and drop off to there. But so close could walk to jetty. Would recommend. It is 2 storey so say if you prefer ground or upstairs. 😀✈️

Extremely nice husband and wife management team- Phillip and Kelly. I stayed here back in 2004 which was at the time in need of some TLC..Kelly and Phillip have done an excellent job!! Central location with 3 minutes stroll to the Torres Pub, next door to Federal Hotel and IBIS supermarket. 1 minute to beach front. Rooms have been refurbished with modern decor. Internet and access to pay TV. Great value for money and clean comfortable rooms.
