Haid's Hideaway Family Campground

I highly recommend this place!! This campground is amazing. Like many of you we've seen many campgrounds in Canada and the US, and I must admit Haid's family campground is a step above other campgrounds . We stayed a couple days in late September, end of season, and the owners were still happy to serve us. Very friendly and helpful. The cleanliness of the grounds and well maintained spaces were amazing. We use the sanitary block and the showers were free, clean, and the water warm (I hate lukewarm showers 😂) I even saw the owner test the water for drinkability 👍❤️ There is a beach near the seasonal plots that goes slowly in the river, and yes, we swam in it end of September! Our plot was river front with hydro / water, and neighbors not too close. There are many activity setups like basket ball hoops, BBQs, bean toss, horseshoe game, fenced dog run, kids playground, etc. An electric car charger would be the only missing thing but that is very specific.... 😂 Anyways, I wanted to give this review because I was truly impressed and the family business here deserve a high five. I will definitely be back when in the area.

Such a great campground! We stayed in one of the cottages with a beautiful view of the rapids. My Son had a blast playing, fishing and swimming. The cottage was clean and had everything we could need! Rob and Elizabeth were great hosts:) We will definitely be returning!

Camped for four days. Had a great time. It's a trailer park with limited camping spots but the spots are large. Nice little beach on the river and a play park to keep the kids busy. Lots of activities for the guests. Our grandkids loved the wagon ride. Everyone at the park was super nice and friendly.

My daughter and I spent two nights in one of the newest cabins this campground has to offer. There are so many thoughtful touches that truly made it feel like home. We enjoyed lazing around in the rapids (just steps away from both cabins), and bouncing on the Big Bouncer they have. The owners care about every aspect of the campground, and it shows. The cabins are a great way to enjoy the experience of camping without having to wrestle with a tent or trailer. You can literally pull in, unpack, and start enjoying yourselves!
