Great location in Detroit Lakes area for RVs or travel trailers. Full hookups (power, water and septic). Reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Location was quiet. Recreation room with showers and restrooms. Fire pits. Gravel pads to park. East access in and out for my 24 ft travel trailer. I believe they are a veteran owned business. The campground is near the lake and they have a playground area for the kids.
Very well kept campgrounds. The owners, Todd & Karen are wonderful hosts. Very attentive, very personable and you can tell they take great pride in their campgrounds. The sites are spacious and just enough shade. Unfortunately we were there for fly season but besides that, fantastic! Karen makes the most delicious homemade bread and you can buy a loaf for $10. It’s a huge loaf and absolutely delish. We had the Italian Parmesan outta this world! Thanks for making our trip enjoyable! Site 21
I have been traveling ever since for 10 years now. This campground is definitely in my top 5. To 20 for value. First, the campground is gorgeous, spaces are comfortable, and the staff is amazing. The grounds are beautiful, green and manicured. The campground is perfectly located to all the activities Detroit Lakes have to offer.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A hidden gem with the kindest hosts! We had the BEST stay here! The owners were absolutely fantastic — genuinely kind, helpful, and went above and beyond to help us get our new camper set up properly. It made such a difference, especially as first-timers! On top of that, we were given a menu of fresh sourdough bread flavors to choose from at check-in — and sure enough, the next morning we were greeted with a warm, freshly baked loaf. It was such a thoughtful and delicious touch! The amenities were top-notch, and the entire campground — from facilities to individual sites — was spotless and beautifully maintained. You can tell they take great pride in this place. We can’t wait to come back. If you’re looking for a peaceful, clean, and welcoming place to stay — this is it!
Will not be staying here again. The owners are very nice people but have a limited understanding of what is expected at a “full service”, “dog friendly” campground. The site is only marginally dog friendly. There are TWO(!) fenced children’s play areas but no fenced dog area. Owners ask elderly traveling without children and with pets to walk dogs OFF PROPERTY approximately 350yards rather than accommodate them. Loss of one star for that. This is the only campground I have stayed in on my cross country trip to not offer a military discount. Okay. It’s their business; they can run it how they want, but that seems off putting when you consider that retirees are a large portion of the RV public. ESPECIALLY WHEN THE OWNER IS FORMER MILITARY! Most annoying, bathrooms/shower rooms were mysteriously locked from 9pm until after 9:30a the following morning when I finally gave up and showered in my camper. With a mandatory checkout time of 11a, it would have been nice to take a shower and not have to rush around to leave on time, or be forced to pump gray/black water twice. Additionally, the previous night I noticed that there was no shower curtain and no way to lock the door from the inside in the men’s shower/bathroom. On my next trip I won’t be back.
