Grand Valley campground just 10 minutes from Brandon is a hidden treasure to be found. If you like camping in among Oak the trees this is the place is for you. There is lots of room between campsites. When your here immerse your self in the rich history of the area. Ranger Rob can help you out on things to explore and things to learn about the area you are camped in. Plan to make coming back next year a priority for us. All sights are 15 amp we have learned to live with this comfortably. If you want to run AC make sure everything else that is 110V is off. Turn off AC when you want to run something.
Sadly I think this place is NOT what it used to be and it shows. The manager was nice enough in person and on the phone . However Looking around makes me wonder. The place was in disrepair. Based on reviews seems to me the place may be under new management. It was bought in poor state and getting up to order or it was a fail to keep it in order. The showers and bathroom were sadly in a poor state. Was inexpensive but barely worth it. Other campgrounds were packed. Try harder owners , as it has potential !
Beautiful. Love camping here. Great walking trail with a tower overlooking the valley.
The sites are nicely spaced for privacy, and there are paths that make getting to the washrooms ect easy. We had an un-serviced tent space and it was a good size. We took a walk up to the observatory at sunset and the view was amazing (attached pictures) the climb is quite steep, but it is very worth it! Booking online was super easy, checking in was fantastic (the camp attendant was very helpful and friendly) There were plenty of blue recycling bins all over which was great. Firewood was delivered straight to our site. Toilets were clean. Tons of green space and walking space.
Very friendly and helpful owners who manage the site by vespa and a golf like cart. The price is very reasonable and easy to book online. The washroom, despite the look outside, was very clean! It is a mixed park where you can rent trailers, rent sites with electricity, a flat ground and such. The site numbers go upwards towards the hill. There is only one bathroom/shower on site, so it may be better to set up closer to it instead. A lot of opportunity for growth for this site. Can't wait to see how it will change overtime. It is a little close to the highway so you will hear sounds but it's not that loud you can't sleep. There is also a hiking trail here and history of the bison grounds.
