Hands down the best vacation spot! Staff was super friendly and was such a beautiful place to stay at. Let’s just say I will be coming back again shortly! I highly recommend this place you won’t be disappointed!

I live year round here, Raven has been here since day 1 and is always a smiling face when I come over to get coffee or candy, and that happens often!! We have new management which has, so far been a positive impact. A request I have been asking for, over a year, was finally fulfilled, so to me !YAY! I moved here after a horrible fire and losing everything. The residents and office staff here made it home!

Loved our stay at Sun Retreats Homosassa !! AN ABSOLUTE HIDDEN GEM!!! Such a chill spot right on the river with great views and tons of wildlife. Everything was clean, the vibe was super relaxed, and the staff was really nice. Perfect place to unplug, enjoy the water, and just slow down. We’ll definitely be back.

My wife and I camped here in our small travel trailer from January 19-22, 2026. I booked my campsite via phone call directly to the resort office about 6 weeks prior to arrival. A few days prior to arriving, they sent me an email letting me know that their office would be closed on the day of our arrival (MLK Holiday), but that they would leave our check-in package in the clubhouse, which remains open during most of the day. We arrived, found the clubhouse, retrieved our check-in package, and actually set up camp about 90 minutes before the official check-in time. Our assigned "Cozy-sized" site number 9, was a good fit for us. Not too big, and it had trees on the back side of it to give us a little privacy. It was a short walk (75 yards) to the restroom/shower facility, and about 150 yard walk to the clubhouse. The campsite was crushed limestone gravel, and a bit unlevel, but I used my leveling chock under one of my camper wheel to straight it up when we backed in. The site had metered electric, a fresh water spigot, a sewer dump, a picnic table, and a fire ring. Though the weather was perfect for a fire, we couldn't light one because the county was under a total burn ban due to drought conditions (normal in this area during the dry winter months). The day after we checked in, we went to the office to pay the remainder of our balance. I was charged $70.00 per night, but they tacked on a $15.00 "Resort Fee", which I thought was kind a joke (extra company grift) because the only real amenity "resort" amenities here besides the club house (that we didn't use) is a swimming pool, and since it was very cold the 4 days we were there (and we're warm-blooded Floridians), we sure as heck didn't go for a dip. It appeared that this facilitied began as a mobile home park, and after it was bought out by Sun Resorts, they improved it somewhat and fixed up the roads and facilities with new buildings and the pool. Most of the transient residents were seasonal snowbirds (regulars from Minnesota and Wisconsin), but there were about 40 permanent mobile homes residents inside the compound as well. Overall it's a clean park, and conveniently located just a mile from Old Town Homasassa, and a mile from the Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park, and 10 miles south of the city of Crystal River. The restrooms/shower houses were modern and kept very clean, but the water pressure was a bit on the low side. Additionally, the men's room only had one sit-down toilet, so two mornings I had to wait in line to use it for my "downloads". One morning, I had to walk over to use the single restroom in the clubhouse. They have free WiFi and the signal strength is good.

Had a really nice stay at this park. Peaceful location very close to both Homosassa and Crystal River with all of the recreation possibilities. Level site. Good utilities including WiFi (a bit difficult to connect, but once connected worked fine). Price was reasonable. I also like how they incorporated the river into the park. The only criticism: I arrived a bit early and had to wait an hour or pay a $30 fine to park an hour early. Really?
