We stayed in one of the campground cabins and it was wonderful! It was clean and had everything we needed! Also, this location is adjacent to everything one might need… restaurants, groceries, shopping, etc.. but you would never know because it’s so Peaceful there! Very well maintained and well-run campground/resort! Definitely 5 stars for us!
We had a wonderful time camping at Rutledge Lake RV Park. Whitney and Joe, the managers, were awesome! We loved how centrally located it was to all the surrounding areas. And we were also very happy that the park has a very nice dog area for our pup to “go” off leash. We highly recommend staying here.
AWESOME FOLKS! Every person that I had encounters with that work or manage this nice, quiet, clean, convenient, well set up RV Park were more than great! Very understanding and helpful when it got unusually uber cold for a few days and I had some freezing plumbing problems. Our team was out working into the late night around 3am. It got down below the teens one night with about a 15mph wind. The grey tank valve froze shut along with the drain pipe from the tank. Had to change the valve and put a bandaid on the pipe. Got some great advice and alot of understanding! Awesome size sites with full hookup, digital cable and free wifi. Nice pond and walking trails, playground for the kids, dog friendly and a bunch more! We had a LATE night working the night before the morning checkout, didn't get back until around 4:30am. Got a few hours of sleep. Totally understanding and didn't mind a LATE checkout! I spoke to the office/store that afternoon and asked if the late checkout was possible. Luckily they didn't have anyone coming in for this spot today! Thank you guys so much for that! I'm actually still packing up right now. You guys are great and I'll be back very soon (not working next visit from Charleston)!
We camped here in our 36’ fifth wheel on our way south. Site 74 was long enough for our camper and truck. We did unhook to level. There were full hookups but we didn’t use the water or sewer since there were freezing temps. The interior roads are good. Bathrooms/showers/laundry facilities were clean. There’s a nice walk around a duck pond. A friend stayed in a cabin which was nice. We stayed here to visit the Biltmore Mansion. The gate is only about 20 minutes away but leave an hour early. It takes a few minutes to get to parking and then you either walk or ride a shuttle to the mansion.
So disappointed! We rented cabin 80 and it was a disappointment for sure! The sofa in that cabin definitely needs to be in the dump! There were 4 pillows on the bed. 2 pillows felt like bricks, the other 2 were so soft you had to put 2 together to make 1. Oh and the loft with a mattress, you would have to be a toddler to use that. It was the last of November in the mountains and there was a cold front and there were no blankets in the cabin, because they thought someone could sleep on that sofa (that needs to be in dump), we found a light quilt. Housekeeping didn't do a very good job, checking behind whoever was in there last, because there were bread crumbs in the toaster oven. The coffee cups were not clean, but guess that was a reflection on the previous renters, because you are suppose to wash and put away your dishes before you leave! Would definitely not stay there again!!
