It is very busy during the summer. I live in the area and it's kind of inconvenient if you want to use the amenities when you live here in the summer. I just moved here and drove up there cuz I wanted to walk my dogs there and when I got there I was like yeah I'm not doing this" I'm sure for the people that camp there for the summer it's great. Not so great for the people that live here though. Lol I'm sure it will be great for me and my dogs in the winter and the fall though. It looks like a pretty decent place when there's not a ton of people around.
What can I say, this campground was worth 5 star, beautiful fishing, clean sites, washrooms very clean, hot showers were a blessing, minutes away from groceries, golf and outdoor pool, the site managers very friendly makes our visit a whole lot better..this is my now go to campsite.. thank you for a great weekend
Beautiful place to camp. Jackie is a wonderful host. The grounds are kept nice, and she goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is happy. The trout pond is awesome, as well as the playground. Highly recommend this place. It's one of the best places I've RVed at!
Here's a revised version of your review for easy copy-pasting: --- I absolutely loved my experience fishing at the lake! Although I didn’t catch anything, just sitting there listening to the birds and watching the goose families stroll around was simply awesome. I even saw a couple of pelicans! The campsite had some trees and was very reasonably priced. $10 for a bundle of wood wasn't too bad either. It was a very quiet campsite, and the host lady was fantastic—very welcoming, though I apologize for forgetting her name. The booking process was quick and painless. All the stores in town are very close and reasonably priced compared to other towns. The hardware store sells fishing licenses and many other things you might need. Now, for the not-so-great things: around the lake, there's quite a bit of dog poo. People seem to not be picking up after their pets. I saw locals bring their animals and walk away after their pets did their business. The washrooms and showers are a bit run down and lacked soap, but it wasn't a big deal. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay there and will definitely book it again if I ever pass through. I loved every minute of it, even though I had to clean dog poo off my shoes a couple of times 😆.
We just came to the campground to fish at the trout pond with our 3 kids. The 2 younger boys hadn't done much fishing and they loved it here. There are some great off shore spots to cast out without tangling in weeds and the pond was nice and clean.
