KOA - Salem / Lisbon Ohio KOA

Salem is by far one of our most favorite campgrounds to visit! Barb is an absolute sweetheart and her son is a great man and very nice and respectful. This place is a great place to come and relax. They have ALOT for the kids to do as well they put on a lot of events for kids and adults. If you have not been here come check it out! You will NOT regret it!

I stayed in a yurt that was in a pleasant location, and the setup was both comfortable and convenient. However, the space was overwhelmingly saturated with cleaning chemicals. The odor was so strong it could be detected even from outside with the door closed. Inside, surfaces like the table were covered in chemical residue, and even though my food was pre-wrapped in plastic, it absorbed the chemical smell and taste after being stored in the mini fridge. I ultimately had to discard everything out of concern for safety. The odor also permeated my clothes, luggage, and personal items, and it took weeks to fully eliminate. Most concerning, the intense chemical fumes triggered my migraines, which significantly impacted my weekend. While I appreciate the effort to maintain cleanliness, the excessive use of cleaning agents created a hazardous and unpleasant environment. Because of this, I would not return, nor can I recommend this location to others.

The staff is pleasant. The sites are close together. We had nice concrete patio with table and chairs. Fortunately no one was next to us. The pizza was very good. The camp store was not well equipped. Overall the whole campground needs updated and many things need painted or fixed. The sink in the one bathroom was being held up by a 2 x 4. Though the bathroom was clean. I doubt we'll be back

My family and I stayed here for 1 month. Traveled from Texas for my husband’s job. We absolutely loved our stay ❤️ Everyone was so nice, helpful and friendly!! Our girls ages 7 and 9 didn’t want to leave. They have different activities every weekend, nice big pool, playground for the kiddos to play at. Awesome campground we definitely would love to come back!!!

Location for us is amazingly close to camp! The pool lifeguard was very attentive and friendly. The pool was a great temperature for a hot evening. My 5 year old son had a blast playing with other kids. There was almost a pretty awesome water slide my son was able to climb and slide with out assistance. The music was nice in the background my daughter was dancing and laughing as she was ready to go.
