My son and I brought kayaks here. The owners son transported us up the river and gave us interesting info about the history, his family’s generations on the river and what to expect. Really awesome guy, so friendly and gracious! The campground is beautiful. Spotlessly clean, great amenities, very nice restrooms and showers. Overall, awesome place!
This place is our second home! It is a great campground with amazing owners. The shower houses are always clean and the store is always stocked with necessities and a lot of ice cream options. The putt-putt course is so much fun and easy to navigate! My kids love exploring the river or plunging into the pool. I cannot recommend this place enough!
The Kokosing is one of my favorite places to paddle. The river is full of wildlife and fish, perfect for a float or paddle, for fishing, birding or relaxing. The family that runs Kokosing Valley is awesome. I love connecting with them every time I visit. Amazing, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable of the area, good stewards of the natural resources. Definitely worth a visit or two every summer.
Great campground! Spent two nights and really enjoyed it. Friendly and helpful staff. If in the area, I would stay there again.
Our organization has an annual weekend event here every summer. We are always welcomed and made to feel comfortable in this well-kept, out-of-the-way gem of a campground that has a little bit of everything. There's miniature golf, a driving range, a well-kept swimming pool, great *clean* bathrooms with actual hot water, kayaking, canoeing, and tubing on the Kokosing river. By the way, the landscaping is beautiful. Check out the camp store. DO NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE FOR YOUR MEAT. They have very good prices on very good beef and pork for your grill, I mean *exceptional*. It's local. You can see it grazing in the nearby fields and buy it next year. 😉 They also have hand-dipped Velvet ice cream, Amish goodies, and pop. If you've got kids, bring lots of $5 bills. You'll need them! 😀 There's a sign at the end of the drive that they refill propane tanks. I didn't use that service, so I don't know. What I *do* know is that this quiet camp ground is a family and pet friendly destination in a beautiful, quiet, easily-accessible part of Ohio, and we look forward to returning to it every year. 🙂
