This place is a great option when you're traveling and want to stretch your legs or use the bathroom but don't necessarily need a gas station. The building is clean and well-lit. You can find maps and visitors guides for Iowa. The bathrooms are clean and stocked. There's a lot of information on the grounds about wind energy which made this place very unique. There are also a few vending machines and work spaces
Pleasant and recently renovated rest area with clean and well-maintained facilities. Restrooms are spotless. There’s plenty of parking for cars and a decent amount for trucks, though I wish there were a few more spaces for big rigs. Still, you can usually find a spot even at night. The territory is beautiful and shaded by tall oak trees, with picnic tables both under shelters and in the open air — a perfect place to sit and relax.
Grounds are well- managed. Interesting the way pieces of windmills have been recycled around the property. Overall, great place to stop and recoup. Gave four stars because of the overkill no smoking sign. Understand prohibiting smoking but stating people can in an enclosed car is ridiculous.
This is a large newly remodeled property with room for any size rig or RV. The lots were clean, well maintained, well lit and fairly level. The visitor area and bathrooms were clean and well maintained. There are vending machines, small playground, picnic tables and map information. I had full bars of Verizon 4G LTE Roaming, no wifi and 10 OTA television channels. As always, I left my area cleaner than when I arrived.
I visited this rest stop in Iowa recently, and I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, which is always a plus when you're on a road trip. The restrooms were spotless, and there was ample parking available for both cars and trucks. One of the highlights of this rest stop was the picnic area. It was a great place to take a break and enjoy a meal. The greenery and well-kept landscaping made it a peaceful spot to stretch your legs and have a snack. What stood out to me the most was the staff's friendliness and efficiency. They were courteous and made the stop even more pleasant. There was also a small information center with maps and brochures about Iowa, which I found helpful for planning the next leg of my journey. Overall, this rest stop in Iowa provided a clean, convenient, and welcoming place to take a break during my road trip. I would definitely recommend it to other travelers passing through the area.
