Old Junee Recreation Reserve

Good for a stopover. A lot of bugs, a lot.

Got to the site gates and they were locked so we turned the van around and went elsewhere.

Pulled up for lunch and a comfort break. A lovely reserve, don't be fooled by the toilets! Stay away you'll be scarred 🤭 these are not functional and need to be condemned. You can camp for up to 14 days on this lovely site if you are self sufficient.

Needed a quiet safe spot to pitch a tent for one night and decided to give Old Junee a try. Slight detour on our road trip down to Melbourne and was a great spot to sleep. No amenities however free to camp, lots of grass and plenty of space. Was pretty quiet, a few caravans parked around. Recommend for a night and wake up to pleasant bird sounds. A bit noisy closer to the road, try to park on the far side of the big loop.

Open gate to about 10 acres of open paddock park wherever you want. Quiet peaceful & absolutely no amenities. Shop water & dump in Junie about 10kl down the road. Love this place
