Awesome Dunes, lots of fun to ride. People could clen up after themselves and it would be a whole lot nicer. Good Dune riding lot of fun.

Single handedly the greatest outdoor recreation Utah has to offer. Been going here since I was 2 years old. I feel so lucky to live so close to here! Great even if you don’t have off-road vehicles since camping here is amazing!

The area is massive. Some very steep dunes that will take a lot of power and paddles to reach the top. Something for everyone on an off-road vehicle. All the sand is soft and deep. The campgrounds and bathrooms are in good order.

Little Sahara Recreation Area is seriously one of the coolest places in Utah if you’re into off-roading or just want an epic outdoor adventure. The sand dunes go on forever, and Sand Mountain is massive—climbing it in an ATV or dirt bike is a total rush. There’s something for everyone here, whether you’re an experienced rider or just bringing your family out to explore. Camping is super easy too. There are a few different camping areas, and while it’s pretty primitive (no hookups), the sites are spacious and you’re right in the middle of the action. Just be ready for sand in everything—but that’s part of the fun, right? We went with a group and had an awesome time riding all day, sitting by the fire at night, and watching the stars—seriously some of the clearest skies I’ve seen. Make sure to bring plenty of water, gas, and snacks, since it’s a bit remote, but that’s also what makes it feel like such an escape. Highly recommend for anyone who loves the desert, riding, or just wants to check out some wild Utah scenery. Definitely a 5-star spot!
